I also don't care what you put in your car, but would rather that you put what you do decide on in the right way. My comment was directly related to the fact that you are always asking for advice after a purchase instead of discussing the plan with us upfront. In the case here, we all would have told you it is crazy to use a first order crossover on a tweeter in particular with no adjustability in a car when output is your sole goal. Do get a crossover, or a headunit that has one and use it. There is no place for passive anything in your install. While you are at it adding some eq or better yet a lot of eq would really help as well. Stop taking the comments personally and realize that the direction they are coming from is helpful and when the comments aren't perhaps the direction wasn't a good choice in the first place. Again, this has nothing to do with the fact that we don't appreciate what you are installing. As for your comment on the finals in Tampa and who uses what. Simple question, if there are a bunch of idiots committing suicide are you going to join them too? On top of that perhaps the people at the finals actually understand processing and driver choice and chose pro audio parts and enough processing to actually make them work. Unbeknownst to you I will be doing a pro audio install, albeit in a boat partly for efficiency and partly for long throw but it will be 12v based and loud. It won't quite make the cut as an SQ install, but the focus will still be there.

dont know if that was a smart ass reply or not....but usually bass/loud highs distort on camera.... try not to get bent the Sq guys allways posture, about how it sounds !!! if they ever get to a Slayer concert... they would understand us better Well if that is the case, perhaps you should listen to Slayer in my truck once as it would make you feel like the stage is right in front of you. 99% isn't a high enough percentage... VJ I do find it funny that you say if you ever heard an SQ setup it wouldn't change your mind on driver selection, but you never have heard one. Don't short suit yourself before at least exposing yourself. The actual accuracy and sonic differences would blow you away more than 170dB does now. I do realize that there would be no way to satiate your desire for bass in an SQ realm since you could never truly have a front stage keep up, and if you actually did and listened to it at those volumes you would be deaf within minutes anyways so it is moot. What is my point? Just knocking things since you think you know about both sides but have only been exposed to one of them isn't going to help you out in life much. The other side of it of course, is don't assume since someone has a tendency to prefer one side of a scenario like this that they can't help out on the other....some of us have a wee bit of pro audio experience, like in my case I ran a sound board and designed small concert hall pa systems for 5 years.

In that case get me a few as well i'm not greedy, i'll take just one please. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Well, if we're talking ideal, I need at least two, one for each channel And multiple rooms, hence the first request.

In that case get me a few as well

I have all the above, but need time to put something together for them

I have been a packrat for years and now that I am moving into a house that has space to keep them all I am selling.
-
My clearing starts after I move. Tons of things need to go to free up funds for the next car project and it has nothing to do with funds for the stereo portion as that is a long ways off.
-
Mine are on the backwall and still very easy to change their settings a shorty screwdriver fits just fine and it is easy to reach. The JL amps aren't exactly small that I have either...
-
The next time you do anything in a car, please perhaps share your plans before you start buying something. We can really make your life a lot better.

They look great!

The facts about the Mustang. . . Ford doesn't need to build any power or suspension into them because the majority of them are modded anyways. Thank God, because let me tell you, the factory geometry is SHIT. They'll never catch on to GM. They will always be underpowered, overweight, and poorly suspended. IT's a fact, but the aftermarket is so huge for them, I don't think Ford even wants to really bother with actually making something performance correct from the factory. Granted, I can't really complain about what they've done, as I would do it as well. They sell the cars by the millions just on the name, but damn, sometimes, I just want to smack them. Bump the displacement up to that of the GM products, shed some weight, ALA the Camaro, and put a good suspension under the damn thing like it should be. I get much enjoyment out of modifying my car, but if it came with a better base, it'd be even more fun. Welcome to corporate America. GM's mantra is as cheap as possible across their whole line though. The new rumor in Detroit is that they are only going to engineer trucks here in the US and all of the cars are going to be gone. Performance models to Holden and the rest to Asia. Closing down all sorts of engineering facilities with a goal to not make cars better, but cheaper Another sad day for the US car market.

Considering your goals have you considered selling your amps and buying a mono sub amp?

Halloween party for us as well. No costume, but last minute closet searching has the wife in a sexy red dress with newly sewn red horns and myself dressed as Bin Laden.

Why are you looking at 5's when the AA's were 7's?

You could do it, but expect your trunk lid to be a bit lively. -
This also means I will have a big enough garage to start some real projects this January. Conveniently it coincides with when I get my new portable spectrum analyzer. The boxes and boxes of drivers will finally get used.

I wanna get loud...but i wanna sound good

From what I hear the product isn't that much better either. Eff putting any money into Ben's hands as well. -
A box is always a good first step.

Worth it, sort of. Considering your history I'd buy the Seas first and if they didn't do it for me sell them and upgrade. You can probably sell them for more than 80% of what you pay for them...cheap insurance.
