Hmm, just connect it to a different water source. I regularly use hot water through mine, it just requires a threaded fixture on the basin in my sink.

We understand 100% that you care about loud and even though I personally don't understand it, it doesn't mean we aren't trying to help it. As for you comparison, do you make your wiring neat or just stuff it under your carpet? I know even though no one will ever see my wiring it is neat and tidy. That sort of quality in an install puts a smile not only on my face but in my heart.

A little over half and a little under 3/4 is NOT a valid gain setting. My guess is you are really whipping on it, while I am not a fan of the DMM gain setting option I do think in your case you had better verify what you are asking your amp to do as it sounds to me like you are running your gains too high or have some other false eq causing a boost where you shouldn't have it (like the bass boost which should be off).

If it is easier you can also use a router with a small straight or upspiral bit. It all depends on what is easiest for you to fixture.
