    Welcome to the IHoP

I almost bought one of those for the office, 60x2 and 200x1 is a nice combo for a sat/sub system.

    Building my first ported box

SQ freak....no fun hmmmm....sealed would be a lot easier. How much output are those Diyma's good for? They got to be better than the MTX black gold's I was running Not so sure about that, they are severely output limited and regrettably when you turn them up and run them hard they fail. They aren't so nice at letting you know their limits.

Let me know what you liked and didn't and in the future I can be more focused. Considering it is new to you all variety is nice. Generically speaking start with the lightest ones and work your way up. If you have a real diverse budget, drink the older ones first instead. The cabs might be the hardest on people, but they are by far my favorites. I can go on and on with recommendations on those.

Hopefully that helps, I tried to keep it to things that even a Sam's club liquor store might have thinking that it would translate to KS okya.

    Building my first ported box

Sean would run sealed and not have anywhere near the output you are asking for but what he would recommend for you isn't what he'd do. Do the outsides in 3/4 and the port in a 1/2 other than the first wall which is an enclosure wall.

The next question is where you live is there much of a liquor store with a wine selection? Redneck stores tend to cater to the wrong crowd and will have to make recommendations appropriately.

Any new 2008 cars your excited about??

Too bad the IRS will fall apart if you put any power into it. Frickin' GM can only get close.

    10" or 12" Q ?

The Q should be comparable to the Brahma in output, if that worked for you I wouldn't worry about it as the difference between the two will be easily altered depending on the enclosure.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I hate to give generic recommendations, most people starting out with wines like wimpy ones but gradually start to like more full bodied more detailed wines. Sort of like an audio noob going from sub only to a nice front stage, except in wine there are more varieties of grapes than there are speakers available. Then with each variety of grape there are hundreds of vineyards all with very different prodcuts.
