My current truck is using the stock angles which are similar to your "passenger" proposal but once I set it up to sound right in the drivers seat it sounds like ass in the passenger get seat. No surprise though as that HAS to be the case if you optimize for you. The cure is you demo with you sitting in the passenger seat. System is for you...build it for YOU

Spend A LOT of timing aiming before even starting the fiberglass. That little bit of the install makes or breaks it!

I agree with that statement completely, but you said they lose power not quality. Big difference. Answer is simple, we don't subscribe to your subjective hope theories that have colored your reality. There is a reason that sugar pills regularly have the same effect as medicine. Btw, I am not saying you didn't have gains going from an autotech 1k to a US2000x but again not really pertinent to the OP's question. In his case he would have to hope for a small incremental gain which financially wouldn't be worth it.

Woah...Congrats!!

Nice looking door panels!

Old amps lose power? Perhaps you should explain that... And btw, clamping won't tell you anything. Do the uncertainty calculation on the measurement and you will see how futile it is. Full 2dB isn't very exciting for a daily...won't buy you the money's worth. I would also be very dubious about listening to anyone on youtube in particular if there is no reference to how it was measured, if it was a single note fart box, etc...

Can we assume you've turned the sub down to see how that works. Would be step one.

The difficulty here is that the install can make a turd of a component sound better than the C5's. We understand that you have put in the effort to install them as you see fit, but normally gains are found in that process. Without knowing what you learned and how you set things up it is hard to make that judgement call. Let's assume you are right and your install is perfect. That would make you the absolute first person that has come onto the board that asked about improving midbass that didn't have huge gains possible in the install. Let's put optimism in the case here and assume the install is perfect. To fix it then we need to understand what you are defining as midbass. Once we know that we can offer solutions.

Probably not worth the cash

Generally you want a few inches of space...

Ouch, don't put that seat down... Do you have a multimeter? A measure of resistance on the coils to approximate impedance would really help. If not, the full model number of those subs would also typically give us this information.

The retina display is antique compared to other options. The gold mine is ALL marketing. The Adobe, Microsoft Cloud software stuff is complete bullshit.

Oh, doh! I didn't know you needed sleeves that long!

You get $100 of alterations a year. Stuff you buy there the alterations are cheaper on. Nordstrom I would imagine makes a shirt in your size as well. The quality of their shirts at the Rack pricing I would argue make sense for almost anyone. No idea what darting a shirt cost...but mostly because 80% of my shirts I had tailored in the first place.

SHirts too.
-
Sign up for a Nordstrom's card. Can take directly from your bank account so no credit rating change. Get $100 worth of alterations free a year.

Then"upfront design" would be a marketing statement not an engineering one.

Settings and setup I was referring to was what you changed/can change. I am not familiar with your headunit and didn't go look up what it has. (outside of the t/a and 13 band you referenced) Phase was particularly important as playing with how the mids are phased to each other (with the subs) off can paint a picture. 99.9% of people that ask the question you did haven't ever changed theirs and expect a new "X" to solve the concern. Also what settings you've had to eq to solve anomalies in your system. Midbass won't be solved by an EQ. If the install is "perfect" then either drivers or crossover changes or both will net more of a difference than an eq.

Lord. That has to be tough, I know you like to dress right...but keep it up!!

Morel made odd sizes, but the purpose wasn't for up front. It is the best location for sub/s if at all possible...but usually that isn't the case. I am always jealous of those builds.

While i love the idea of an all SSA 3 way the drivers the site currently have don't lend themselves for that. Unless of course you use the 8's as up front subs and not midbasses.

The steps you went through in the tuning process and what you learned about your setup is what we need. There are no "tricks" only adjustments.
