It is generally not a good idea to mix anything that isn't identical with the others. Sell the oddities and buy something else.

I have a server power supply that I use for that. Run a pair modified to supply amps and such if necessary. Think I bought the pair for 25 bucks. Anything fancier than that and a T amp with an 1/8" to RCA input so you can use your phone as a source is almost better.

No idea, not used or seen that amp but will say that Youtube videos will show you nothing of value and regrettably the SMD dyno is equally useless and can't measure anything. It is just a way of collecting money from noobs. So beware of anything you thought you know from those sources.

Ported box for a single 8 takes as much space as a sealed 12 when done well and has inferior output across the board. People rave about 8's to be "different" or to show that you can build something with lots of little drivers. Cone area is generally your best friend in getting real bass output. Everything else is easier with more cone. Assuming your are limited to 5.5" of depth you are restricted to drivers with not a lot of throw and then cone area is even more important.

Not enough information to answer for sure. The box makes the install and not the driver. That being said, generally 8's are pointless. Yes tons of exceptions, but it isn't how I'd tackle this problem. no way, no how.
