check out the re calculator...it lets u punch in basically everything u want and then gives u cut outs...i built my box like that and it came out great.

i think u can get the kicker zx1000.1 on ebay for cheaper than the fosgate, and the kicker is definately a good amp.

the advantage to using aero ports is it doesnt take up as much space inside the box, so u basically have a bigger box on the inside, n get the same port area and tuning frequency.

sri to thread-jack but ku40, how do u find out what kinda pvc ports to run? i gotta small car and wanna build a box that is 35" wide 22" tall and 20" deep. i beleive that it come out to be 7.343 cubes, not including the 18" fi q and the ports...what would i need for the pvc ports to tune it to about 28 hz? also, would just using pvc from ur local menards work?

lol yea i hate those 4 gauge terminals...lol stuffing 0/1 gauge in it is a pain in the ass plus its probably not very safe...i like the 1200d bc its rated at 12.4 volts which is a plus...i think im gonna do it, as long as i can sell my amp soon. when do the 1200s come out?

try briefly turning up ur gain a bit to see if u pick up the lows better. i had the same problem when i set my gains...i set with dmm and didnt pick up the lows so i just set it by ear.

6.3 cubes after port and sub displacement tuned to 26.5 hz.

i got the new box done and im pretty sure its perfect...it sounds amazing. i think that if i want more, i will have to upgrade to a better sub

get a 15" fi q. put it in a box that fi recommends. push it with something around 1000 rms...u will b very happy.
