where does it say that it is only stable at 4 ohms bridged? if that is the case then wiring to 2 ohms bridged is def a bad idea...maybe the site i looked at was different that urs kl40. -
yea bro all the subs u listed are in different power classes so it would depend on which sub u get
-
hey bro, all of those are good choices from what ive heard. i personally have a 18" fi q with the bp power option and it is amazing! it picks up highs and lows, and i have my box tuned really low. my every day box is tuned to 28 hz and it picks up almost everything and slams it out with authority. i would def recommend the q to anybody. just make sure u get it in a good box, whatever it is that u get.

check what? that it works? or that it will push the sub? if it turns on and pushes the sub at all it will definately push it, if it doesnt turn on then obviously it wont push it lol. hook it up and plug the sub in. make sure u set ur gain right and it will b fine. -

so i inverted my 18" fi q today and have the motor sticking out...it is alot louder. i can now do a hairtrick, which is what i have been striving for lol, my question is....why does it make it louder? is there any theory behind it or is it something that just is?
-
hmm...i wouldnt think that would make that much of a difference, but man it did. i dont have a meter so idk the exact amount but it moved my girlfriends hair quite a bit. n before it never did. screw it, as long as its better i have no more questions lol. does the power handling go down any? like should i turn down my amp or is it fine where its at?
-
huh, how much do u think the tuning frequency changed? the box it tuned to 28 hz, and is 6.3 cubes.
-
well i wanna use pvc bc i dont have alot of space in the back of my car and i figured the bigger the better right? thanx bromo and old school. i will post picks when i get it done
-
first off i have an 18" fi q with the bp power option and a hifonics 1610d amp. its in a focus, and it will b in a 7 cubic foot box hopefully, but my question is that i want to use pvc ports instead of the normal slot port, i used the winisd program, but either im an idiot, or its really hard to use. i put in my t-s parameters for the q and then i set it to 7 cubic feet and put the tuning at 28 hz. then i changed the porting to round and put in that i wanted to use 2 4" ports. it says they need to be 9.25" each. is there nebody out there that can check that for me to make sure its correct? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx.
