totally off subject , but, the dinner was rather good if i say so my self.... 7lbs. of smoked bbq chicken breast, 2lbs. of hot dogs, 3qrts. of my speacial bbq garbage beans(over a lb. of bacon in them), two big boxes of (velveta) mac & shells, 3lbs. of macoroni salad, 3lbs. of potato salad, 9 lbs. of home made french fries cooked in 100% bacon grease smothered with cheese, and i made a huge pineapple on the grill for desert...... good food, family, friends and fun..... we had a demo from iputon's 18" IA DR, being pushed with a SAZ-1500D, it was housed in a sweet ass enclosure that Mdizzle built... it sounded real frickin nice serving the lows on a Phil Collins mix...... Mikey done a quick amp install in a suburban and designed him a box for his 15" L7 .....in the alley, drive through style, lol, ftw! Shelly had a big art and crafts thing going, they cranked out some killer projects.... after we were all stuffed, it was time to watch 'cops' and catch a few zzzzz's, Jdawgg22 was out with the quickness.... it was a great time and screamed of what is to come this season for our crew! chop

    2 15" IA Lethal Injections

is the rear speakers still installed? if the rear stage is not ubber important to you, it would help to remove them, port through the rear deck...... I say this asuming that the rear seat is installed back to it's original location..... porting through the rear deck would take some pressure off the trunk lid and let it into the cabin... also, if you are interested, i could give you a few other tips on getting that lid to hush quite a bit....on the cheap. looking good..... chop

each time i go outside i get different numbers, see new angles, find new obstacles, change my mind on the over all impression..... have a second design, that is very similar to this one, vision the rear wall ..... the first baffle will extend to the roof....the seconde, will represent the enclosure's top height.... the same principal for the sides..... then creating a new roof across for this area...... having an exagerated 45' angle, horizontally in the top rear plane ( more of a half pipe though, letting the sound waves roll across it toward the front of the cab)... 150's would be fun.... spl dust & shipping to 46225?

thinking this is really close to where i will be with the numbers...... the brief sketch of the port can be seen here as well... the port will have weather stripping style seal compressed tightly against the baffle, as will the subs.... will use t-nuts for both sub and port..... yes the port looks big, it is based off of what the subs need however....( meaning, not based on the rule of thumb) this is a attempt to show how i intend to do the corners..... as appossed to just bouble baffles of the same dimensions resulting in a straight 90' seem in all corners.... looks like it would be stronger and air tight this way, imo i also plan on installing vertical and horizontal 45's in all inside corners....(not shown).... this would provide me ample air space, and port tunning. the subs will be inverted in this application.... the port can have the ability to extend outside of the enclosure as well as inside..... any thoughts thus far? thanks chop

well, i am at the point that i need to quit seconde guessing myself, lol i am rather happy with the overall design, i am happy with the volume, i think.... the build style...... still playing with numbers.... meaning useing 2"x4"s or double layer mdf.... single some places with all thread.... the port option, very well might do a drop in port...removable type with t-nuts.... this would offer alot of options without alot of demo / rebuild type work i will post up a little something in about a hour..... chop

thanks fellas..... these sundown amps are fricking power horses for sure.... I have decent expectations from this set-up.... the wmd2's will perform quite well for what i want... the dang ol' box designs just keep changing on me.... i wish i would keep it simple, lol i think if i can get a lower 30hz. range of music to be prooduced at around the upper 140's, i will be happy.... uh, let's say 32hz. @ 148 db. = that would be nice. i know i should have more, but i am still doubting my electrical right now.... another D5100 would be sweet... wish i could use the aeros, i love the look..... but not enough surface area to install them without having the ports partially blocked.... playing with a drop in slot port, removable, still really close numbers, but i believe it will be subs and port firing up.... not sure of central port or go with driver side.... oh, took out radiator today, will hunt a few leads tomorrow after church for another one.

not sure i understand your question..... the wording would suggest i considered something else, other than these , i only have looked at mach5's, but that was a year ago. i bought my first Pierce sub, it was a recone, used, from a guy off of the other two forums that i was on alot.... it was a WMD2r15 , it was hella nice imo, i pawned it off during tight times this winter.... i thought i would get it back out and do another box, tuned lower but found a sweet deal to have these built for me, by Pierce, they have taken very good care of me from the begining. Audio has no true top end, just how much you can spend is the limit , it's seems. from the installs i have done, the equipment i have heard, these hold their own, and cost less doing it. so , why i chose this brand, customer service, price, previous use, and over all impression of qaulity and performance. also they look pretty kick ass too!

    Happy Birthday

well last night after everyone went to bed, I pulled out Regina's present, as i was laying behind her.... i slide it over her shoulder and tickled her ear with it.... every time she tried to get a hold of it, i would pull it back away from her, being a big tease... i knew she would want it, so i let her get all anxious for it..... finally i let her hold it, but would not let her look to see what it was... i made her guess at what it was i got her, lol, she figured it out right on the first guess.... A CHECK!!!! been a while since i had a little extra cash, so it was a nice surprise. the fella i am working with will be gone for two weeks, so he cashed me out for friday's pay..... it is not much, but we wil be able to get some extra, much needed, stuff for the house..... thanks alot for the birthday wishes..... just a little history or fyi.... Regina and i have been together since i was 11 yrs. old. We had our first child, Samantha, when i was only 16, we was told then, we would never make it together, we got married, asap, before our graduation even, and yes that was a big one for us, the first to graduate in either family for several generatios our wedding was on Valentines day, we have celebrated 17 yrs. of anniversaries. We are the proud parents of three daughter, Samantha, Kimberly, and Krystina.... we have our son-in-law, who i say it took me 19 yrs. to have a boy, we love him like our own. and there is Alex William, our beautiful grandson, he is truly a heaven sent.... i had to work all day yesterday, so we will do some celebrating today, perhaps she will take me out to lunch with some of her birthday money!

i wish, hard pressed to round up any material just yet........ here is a couple of shots of the baskets, they are powder coated .... even though i like them alot, this was not a speacial color request per say.... they had them at the shop, so i asked to use them instead of black, because they already had them, i had no additional charge for the color treatment, ftw! here they are attacted to the motors..... personally, i love the way six spoke baskets look on larger drivers like this......
