hey fellars! look what the cat drug in....lol will try to update a few things in here today...... wish i could say it sucks to be this busy, but it don't. it sucks to not be on here as much, but it is time much needed to get life caught back up. glad to see the IAK family stays strong through my absence. well i will chat on here perhaps later..... got a few pics to put up under the Dakota build. chop IAK

sorry i have been on the mia list, here is a small update....... steve bought the first two sheets of 3/4" mdf for my birthday gift..... every thing is double baffle and attacthted to the truck. the bottom is a 2 x 4 base, the lower rear has additional 2 x 4 bracing that tapers to a 3/4" piece of birch that is the width of the box and 8" high. everthing is joined together with tight bond 3 wood glue. all seems are caulked with silicon. 1 5/8" coarse thread drywall screws helped squeeze a couple of the layers together. the 2 x 4's are bolted through the body on the bottom and glued with liduid nails. the rear is attacthed via self tapers in the exsisting hat channels of the truck, as well as glued to the surface. the corners are glued, clamped, and compressed, very few scews are in this build. only four are used on the front 90. you can see in this pic that i interlocked all of my 90's so there would be no room for air leaks also the back layer of birch is visible as well. this one shows my 45's installed first baffle for the top... i swear i had better pics, not enough time in the day, sorry about the rush through on the build log. there is a pic of the vertical bracing , two 2 x 4's in the center.... i will be out all day working on the build, gathering the last sheet of mdf and attempting to o some mch needed networking for IAK. talk to you soon fellas bigrank and thehawk, your cash is in my pocket, i will hit the post office today.... holla chop

mad love too you all! perhaps a rain out friday will give way to a much needed update. i have alot to share. example of my week ; today we started a job that on a resedential property, requires 130 yards of mulch alone! the family is well. i do indeed miss the 'rest' of my family on here though. got the radiator in, so one step further in that direction.... thermostat is stuck shut..... will have to swap that out tomorrow. found a leak in the front windshield, i think the pressure had weakend the seal... will have to fix that.... removed almost all of the old install as well as wiring... will remove tha last bit tomorrow and will be buying the first two 3/4" 4' x 8' s tuesday or so..... lost several pics of progress with the dakota and the taurus, i will work on it more tomorrow..... chop

i like the one down in the right hand corner, nice and clean. thanks for the input. keep em' coming

the first attempt to splice into the rear output for the use of a high input at the amp failed. the wire was slightly too small for the in-line splice.... bought a converter and will re-do the splices tomorrow..... used the mp3 player for some brief testing and it went well, the current prefab, sealed enclosure leaves room for improvment..... i think once the install is complete , she will be very happy with it for a while.. chop

yeah the part with Kat Williams, also the first part of the IAK Oldskool, i like this sort of approach..... definetly like hearing IAK in there, perhaps several times within the finished song.... this was not too fast pace for me, however it might of slowed down after :36 quite a bit, rather it stay a little more upbeat through out. i bet i have done demo's of your different styles a dozen times in the past 2 days, showing the family and some friends all of this. i am very excited about it. I can se you are very capable, it is just a mtter of me catching up to speed, in order to know what terminology to use, lol...... i see the reerance to old school popping up, that is some cool stuff, i would imagine the other half of my crew, who has not been able to respond yet, would want a newer approach. lol. most of thier music is ganster, street.....not sure what to call it, lol we, really appreciate this! chop

i have no experiance in useing a port plug... i would not even begin to know what to exspect from this partial plug design.... will this plug be for the kerfed port? would the back side if the plug create a dead area, sorta like standing waves? would the plug have a kerfed shape as well? i am absolutley useless here, but tunned in as well. chop

the first part of Already Faded is on point with what i like...... what is the term used for this sort of style / song intro..... the building bass line in there is a must have too. the rest of the song is brillant, just alot faster than what i am looking for i am willing to bet that whatever you do create, it will be top notch.... i look forward to just a taste of what direction you will be going with this.... chop

do i have to do everything, lol chop

hey fellas, i had a bid on some of our custoum t-shirts. the airbrusher said he would creat four unique IAK themes on four 3xl shirts, giving a 'feel' for what one we liked best... he said they would be full, complete quality.... this would cost $100, $25 each.... if there is four of you who would like to step up with the cash, pick a theme..... let me know whats up.... the decals..... they are looking like around 5-7 buck each....high end guess would be 3 decal each member, i would assume..... 3 x $5 x 15(members) = 225 bucks some members seem lost, this would bring the math down..... who would like some decals and how many? chop

wow, that is alot of work in one sitting, for real.... still gotta watch the videos, ol' chop has gotten behind quite a bit.... looking good bro....
-
if i remember correctly, i would say 33hz.

Hey, thanks for the post bro! you have the general idea of what i was thinking.... i like the shout out section with the mortal combat theme....perhaps seperate from the demo song though.... the multiple bass frequencies is going to be sweet... definetly want the mids and highs to be show cased as well. hey fellas, take a listen to what he has already done, definetly good talent and taste. thanks a million , chop
