this address is wrong^ it is at a local audio shop. i think the confusion comes from that this shop is also hosting the sound-off at slamology. it is on the north side of indy. the address is; Asylum Autowerks 7262 E. 86th. St. Indianapolis, Indiana 46250 i believe the pricing has dropped as well from what is posted on this flyer.... Hone posted....$20/$30 as the pricing....saving $5 bucks!!!! we collectively will all start migrating toward slamology site at the track for the speed pass and pick up tickets, which ever applies to each member. mid afternoon into the evening and then onto this soundoff.... i took friday off, so i should be at slam and the beat off early....might grab some grub somewhere as well. i had a barbque guy that had stated a willimgness to attend our events with his cuisine, however he has not been in touch. look forward to seeing yuou there

okay....i hate this lap top....i got help for you but my clipboard is messed up again....no copy and paste happening here. go to rf box wizard to learn to model up air space easily.... rockfordfostgate.com / woofer box wizard. your current max dimension specs offer 5.5 cubes for your subs. you need to subtract port and sub displacement as well. double baffles and internal bracing as well as 45' degree angles can change the volume as well. your dcons need 4.5 cubes and displace about .25 cube of your internal volume. your port would stand 13.25" tall and 4.5"wide would give you about 60" of port area. personally when the box is enclosed in the trunk i raise the tunning some....this is a preferance....imo, 30hz. would be nice. i suggest if possible to mod the rear deck in a fashion that will help "port" the bass into the cabin. many folks find with a stronger front stage that the rear stage is not needed, if you choose thise path your 4"x10" openings being open would help out a bunch. for a drop in box.the space you have, the port and subs will work out fine and some 45's will be nice. the double baffle is not needed imo. some .75" dowells for vertical and horizontal bracing from your local hardware store will serve as a nice bracing system and cost effective.

sundown audio sa-8's tinsel leads burning
porkchop replied to them6's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
i have seen at least a half of dozen of these...all in the same place....there can be other factors..however strictly in my research and formed personal opionion.....they have fail wrote on them. the new drop ins are not too costly and have the round tinsel leads....these have had a better success rate in the exact same set ups as broken ones have been previously mounted in... we just ordered all 6 of ours even though not all 6 did not need it, -
sorry, lol, it is choked down from there...i did not take pic before it went to paint. it is framed there to be able to recieve a maxium of 275" with the use of .75 birch. 2'x4's ckoked it down (narrow) kept heigth.

you are absoultly correct.....4 15"s is the goal....3 18"s port work design in question.... but 4 15"s was going to work till there was a few flawes in my plans.... so this is somewhat temporary. t
