right on, there are some local guys that can upgrade my current alt so it is a little stronger, for cheap, then i am thiking of having dual batteries up front, plenty of room and dual in the rear, not huge ones but decent ones....
-
okay fellars, i got a SAZ 3000D and i am going to be getting a WMD2R 15", it is a dual 1ohm sub, it does 1500 rms. with ease from what i understand, i am thinking that i will run the amp at 2ohms. so it will be an easy relationship on both, i know i could wire to .5 ohm and the sub will take alot more wattage......but i figure this will be plenty. so my question is, with a 2 ohm load, what type of amprage should i have avaiable for my amp, like what size alt and battery combo,,,, i got the welding cable and plenty of it, so i got that part going on. thanks Chop.

Pro Alpha >>> Beta but it will let you screw up a bunch more. Not sure if it will be understandable although I find it uber easy to use. boy, i tell you , this stuff is insane all at once, i'll give her a look, i guess i got a design all up in my head and am not ready for that complex of an install yet, hell all i know is i think it looks cool.... that bcae1.com, wow, i got to go find some finacail aid before i can read some of it. No matter what modeling program you use do NOT just hit go and accept the box. The real trick comes to understanding how it responds to your room and such, which is far from trivial in particular when your room is a car. i am wanting to be done early spring, i will shop and study till then.....i want to feel as if when i do build this first box, it will be very close to optimal for my taste and expectations..... in a few days i will let you see what i am working on, just for your input, ....if that is cool.

lets do 24" tall......that floor area is funky, i need to gut it and install a level sub floor. 53" wide..... easy enough, with a little room on either side (inches). 18" deep....... this lets the seats be relaxed back to a comfy ride. 24" X 53" X 18" will be a good starting point.....i might get rid of a couple of inches in heigth, trying to stay even with the window line. not for comp but more for just looks. 24x53x18=22896/1728=13.25 cubes! so yeah loosing a couple of inches in the heigth will be fine. so i really was wanting to do sub up, port to the side, but maybe the first box could be sub up, port up , sub on passenger side, port on drivers. , but with the other style with the areos firing externally to the side into a loading chamber, you got any input on that style? thanks chop.

man i am all over that..... first thing is to get their a** straight on specs and info on their sight.... i am still on it.
