amp mount. we used some rubber setting blocks that were intended for setting large sheets of glass as shims for the amps before, it worked well. i just really want an excuse to break out the stinger and tig some sh*t up. chop

My last build was ported to the side as that was the best box design i tested to also be able to allow me to put batteries in the back of my hatch as well. Burped a 148.0 flat on the TL tuned DAILY just for fun. I also had the amps mounted on top of the box for about a year with no problems, sold them and still no problems. I used Luxury Liner pro and multiple rubber washers to prevent vibration damage. I still use Luxury Liner Pro as an absorbent in my installs. All my current fans and fans all have that under their mounting feet because the road alone is bumpy enough. well i am still thinking this will be sorta how my first box will be, having second thoughts on aeros, for cost vs looks reasons.

ha ha ha ^^^ he said " suck but fuck" lmao, that is probably what is wrong with him....rofl..... mdizzle! no more suck or butt fuck for you, doctors orders, you pucking whore.....lmao Chop IAK PUT DOWN THE PIPE sorry, it was late....not a pipe though, it was the huge bowl of frosted flakes that did me in, lol. mdizzle is at work today, so that is a good thing. -
hell yeah!! do work now! hey i was thinking, you got this sh*t all wrong........ because alot of folks say.... 1) you have to have alot of cone area to get high numbers. 2) it is really hard to get over 150's in a trunk car. 3) you should always face the subs to the rear of the car for the most bass. so i think you must be doing something wrong, cause you sir, are not conforming to the norm. lol, just having fun Chop

* the idea of the ports to the side, uh i have seen several, i think rushnrun's truck is like that, but slot ported. seen it in a few CRX's too, alot of aeros in those style installs....so yeah looks have a part in it, it's different, but i have heard this allows it to load off the side, instead of firing forward, i am going to try to do all of the research i can before i go that route, if not will probably fir e both up, slot ported and call it a day. fit wise, plenty of room for a single 15" , just want to have one of those installs that i know the enclosure is getting me the most out of my sub, and like i said, the looks seem cool to me, being different......i think i also seen a box that PTS built with aeros firng into a loading chamber, i am not well versed in it, just like the style. * big 10-4 on the amp mount, it was just thrown in the pic like that. i was thinking of welding up a little mount so it will float in that generall area, but slightly angled perhaps......i mounted amps to boxes several years back and got plenty of comments to learn from that opps...lol. * thanks for your input, i am surfing around trying to find out what i can learn on what box will excell in my Dakota. thanks Chop.

I've talked with PAP personally, they seem like an OK group. Their Canada Rep stole some of my photos/specs/powertesting/ect so I contacted the company directly. the fella I talked with seemed nice enough. if the price tag was smaller I'd like to give them a try. never seen these in person... dam, sorry to hear that part of it, i got the sub for $200 bucks so i guess we will see. new avatar, did not reconize you lol. Chop

well, i tell you what, if this was posted sooner, i would of took it into account, i had looked around just a little and did not see any subs that i could get for the price, in addition to that, this sub i am currently purchasing is used, so in a way, perhaps it will do you some good to know that they directly won't benefit from the sale. they sure do have garage like build going, and seem like okay guys, perhaps a little too bland at times, but this sub seems to offer close to what it is i am looking for at $200 bucks shipped, sorry guy(visitor). like i said though, it is not their sale this time around, and if i was to be in the "brand new" shopping mode, those DC's seem to impress me, i am saying price for price, spec for spec. the sub will be inverted too, so no advertising going on, and i am not a competeitor, just street thug, lol, noone will give a sh*t what i have in there. man that is a bum deal if that did happen to you, just one more reason i like this forum, the folks around here are not fake, they earn their status and rep with the products honestly. thanks for the info, sorry it was too late, please still see me as Chop, annd not the 'stolen pap owner', Chop thieves

Written by Adam Rayner Monday, 03 August 2009 I write with every hair and nearly every portion of erectile tissue on my body tingling. (I'm not quite that bad.) For a not-dared-to-be-believed fantasy has come true! Talk Audio, In association with Future Publishing's Fast Car Magazine have established and set a whole entire New Guinness World RecordTM! In a scene of multiple car audio competition formats, where Sound Pressure Levels reach 180dB and physics-laboratory-calibrated microphones and sensors are used, there has never been a truly rigorous scientific way of comparing one organisation's World Records with another's. Also, they have many categories. So, whilst it might seem logical and realistic to have "The World's Loudest Car Stereo" records in the fabled Guinness book, it has never happened. Guinness World RecordsTM' reputation for scientific veracity is absolutely unassailable, so getting a record ratified needs some pretty stringent recording and independent witnessing. For a decade, I have been occasionally gathering up all the loudest cars and vans in the UK and measuring them with, frankly, an Earthquake meter for hysterically funny magazine features under the title "F*** SPL, Gimme Richter!" This most recent time, we had the scientists from a Seismic consultancy called Vibrock and Anglia news TV and some who came just to witness the event. (And eat Pork Pies from a famous Wigan Butcher's thanks to K&M Acoustics.) Afterwards, the lovely folks at Future presented my case and extensive support material to the Guinness World RecordsTM organisation with a view to it being accepted as a new record. It took some time but here is the brief but absolutely joyous text entry that Talk Audio & Fast Car get in the next edition of the Hallowed Book. "Largest Seismic Earthquake Caused By Car Stereos" The largest seismic earthquake caused by car stereos was caused by 22 cars which made the ground vibrate with a velocity of 6.325 mm/s. The event was organized by Fast Car Magazine and www.talkaudio.co.uk (all UK) at the Santa Pod Raceway, Northampton, UK, on 22 October 2008. It didn't mention the equivalent of 300kg of explosives at 500m as possibly that'd mean defining the explosive but WE HAVE OUR RECORD! I truly feel that anyone who was there in one of those 22 cars deserves to have the event commemorated. We don't have the funds but we do have the time to organise and administer it, so how about designing and commissioning an embroidered patch? We can't use the Guinness logo without paying a licence fee so it'll have to be something like "Talk Audio & Fast Car magazines World Seismic Record Setter" in a circle and a ‘quake image in the middle, maybe the ground cracking? Whaddaya reckon? Along with the 33Hz thing, I really feel a mark has been made there. We may beat it one day but you guys were FIRST! I'm so proud of you all.
