wow, we took our next step. This has been a goal of ours for a long while. Why? well, this is somewhat how IAK began to grow, right here in the forums of SSA. yup. mdizzle and I meet up at a local show here in Indy. He had mentioned SSA and his support for thier strong, no bull crap style forum. " not alot of filth, like the other ones" we told each other, as i too had been lurking for a long while. He was reppen' hard for the XCON, and even handing out flyers....lol. So, as we started to hang out, the birth of IAK was also starting.... you see, all of my family is involved in audio..... we had a meeting, everyone said "let's try it" so we did. the first thing that was made clear, we are a family based team! we are all family. a positive enviroment for all ages to be around. we do plenty of cruising with the kids, as well as alot of late night cruising with out them. we attend alot of shows, and meet at least once a month, striving to acheive our goals. size not being of issue nor location, due to the convienance of having SSA as a meeting place at any time, any schedule. we base our goals on growing in knowledge and helping each other learn. growing together. So, now we have a official team section, we will have to strive to grow and improve even more. By all means, if being a part of our family is something you are interested in, pleas send me a pm, let's talk. we will be attempting to post up all of the current builds on here as well as all of the ones that are to start soon. thanks for the privelage of having this team section, Mark and AAron. chop IAK

Small minded is making a decision without considering all the factors. Not sure what "inner city" has to do with cost. Price is important to everyone. As for proven performance, perhaps a discussion as compared to what would be important for that to be relevant. No need to have that conversation here as you can always choose to do whatever you want with your money. It surely won't offend me. The guys that I have seen that have been testing them have no idea what they are doing, but I am sure there are exceptions. Curious why you think 2 layer foam is a positive. And the part that really makes no sense to me is the last sentence. You have a family, you have a grandson, you have no job and you are buying a sub for your ride? I think a priority shift might be in order, but again your life your decisions. thank you again for your valued input. what would you like me to focus my priority on......? are you in assumption that my family does not come first? we , as a whole, do fine on all accounts. where in this thread or last sentence did you read any thing to do with my grandson, what is the purpose of mentioning him in any way, you had already said family, which would include him, so what is it you are attempting to communicate here? is this somehow going to effect your opinion of the equipment i have chosen? i did secure a "approved" amp , so you should rest easier tonight for that.... i will keep the focus on the subs as will the rest of us for now. inner city, sorry, i used that a little generic and i filled it with my own insight and stereotypes. i used the term very generically for referance to being low-income and a urban like mentality. our focus is, what can be bought cheap and perform well..... so, with any of our installs, rest assured there will not be alot of money involved in them. the performance, well it is relative also, so far, we are just tickled with our desicions. our installs seem to quite well for our taste. oh, double foam surround, well i was only answering a question, it was not my specs to build it, just how it was done, just a question and a answer, totally noobed out on why it would or would not be just wonderfully positive. sorry could not help with more info on that. thanks to bigrank916 . chop

right on. we will be picking up the rental friday morning, and be in new albaney around 3 or 4 pm.... staying at the casino. the comped the rooms again since Regina spent most of the time in the ER the last visit. so that was cool of them. plan on showing up right around noon at carl casper on sat. will probably stay till evening.... see how the rest of the crew does. there will be the seven of us and then three more in the other vehicle. uh, maybe more, but they are all at the maybe stage still. i am buying a second saz1500d now, instead of the ap30001d, so that xs d5100 will feel appreciated, lol will be ordering the 18"s probably monday. with all of this equipment on the way, you better believe i will be bringing the camera, notebook, and calculator with me, asking a ton of questions and taking notes the whole show!!! chop -
where do you get such a cocky attitude from? lol off topic would be the best place, but it is all good.....you need to add bigrank916 to the list, i have to add him to my sig still.

we will be clapping for steve when he starts his build..... lmao

my stereotype of the west coast is so much off of what you are saying....... i would of had it pegged as a ton of smaller circuit shows and sound offs all the time.... we have enough here in hoosier land, (IN.), (famous for corn!), too keep busy 10 months out of the year with a little efforst and some driving.

we are currently at 7" inches, or better, here, from this storm. went ahead and reserved a big ol van, just in case, but samantha really wants to take her new car on the trip. how much snow did louisville and new albaney get? there are areas that got a foot or a little better between here and down there. Phi, will you be able to make it still ? -
Line Drivers
porkchop replied to smashedz28's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
is it considered to be a semi user friendly piece of equipment? can it be intergrated into a novice level install with minimal risk? perhaps i could reword that to......... could a dum ass like myself use one without screwing up his system? -

is this considered the same family as digital bass enhancers.... like the epicenter? what is the outlook or opinion of thier purpose or function? i have not read too many good things about line drivers but man they seem to be a hot item to some folks, lol -
we are grabbing one of these amps next week, looks good, good job on still having enough room to make all those batteries disappear. chop

omg............. that is not a good thing.... wow, not a real good thing for what i had planned at all. i am glad it is all indoors, but that might be a bad deal for our caravan of spectators... i will look into the storm and see how i can adjust our plans accordingly.... thanks for the heads up. dammit! -
look forward to your intial impression on the test coming up.... i am sure it will be impressive to me / us, but i wanna know what you think of it... you have been wanting the new build for a while now. chop

i would think that wednesday would be the start.............. me and steve is always helping each other with different crap, currently we gotta get the dakota running to go pick up the materials. so monday and tuesday will be hitting junk yards and fixing crap, i think he just picked up his new battery tonight. i would guess we will clean out his trunk and demo out from the b pillar back on the dakota. start the box in the alero, along with some deadening on the trunk. i will add some more deadening to the dakota as well. oh, and he will be finishing his big three as well. i will probably drag ass untill after the week end, before i post any build threads..... carl casper will take up friday through monday for me. so next week, the alero will be further along, and then i willl start a new build log on walling the dakota. chop

and with that said, i now confess my love for you publicly.......... you rock Mr.Rank! bromo.... it is just a sore spot with me, the stolen design issue suck to hear... it really does... i know of alot of equipment that seems to reflect other designs.... still is bought all day long. no reason to beat the dead horse though, so moving on, ........................... DAM. thanks bro! I have only drank un-sweet tea for several years, until tonight ironiclly enough.... the waitress at red lobster goofed on my drink, lol we will start the box build tomorrow. chop

Because QueenMOAB said so. uh, if some folks would remove thier mouth from his nuts long enough to let some oxygen get back to thier own brain, perhaps they could at the very least, think of something else to do with thier time. other than sucking on one man's ball sack for a entire companies reputation. i have seen / heard quite a few systems that are.... * loud * sound good * cost effective before i ever heard of the brands hosted here. there is high end which is here indeed, and there is low end, if some one has something that is not in your trunk or taste, then it is automatically shit...that is a small minded approach to life. we chose the brand for several simple minded reasons, at the top of the list though, would have to be to shit in peoples mouth that are indeed small minded. we are inner city, cost means alot to us, the equipment we have meets our expectations. sorry for a shitty attitude that lacks respect, but it is fucking silly to see folks who can only compare a product ewith one person. with out any individuals name comin up..... tell me in a intelligent manner what makes this brand so below any other brand..... use facts with good sound reason, i respect these things and will listen and study them as well.... to just run the mouth for no sound reason other than to degrade, not a respectful attribute at all. price, asthetics, prooven performance, and the maturity that revolves around the folks behind the product..... out of these, price is a high one and we have used the subs before, they done well for us. okay with that said.... wmd stands for Woofers of Mass Destruction.... the 2, is the second series. the surround is 2 layer foam. i will be building the box next week. i am a noob when it comes to building, testing amps.... however, i have had this thing that has worked for me for a while.... i hook up the equipment and form my own opion on how it performs.... has worked really well for me for a long while.... the guys who have been testing the amps seem quite pleased with them.... when i seen them in person, i was as well. all of the test can be ran all day..... test away, by all means please do...... in the mean time, i will cruise around and just enjoy the systems i have...... to me, as well as steve, cost means alot..... the Dakota was done for under 400 bucks at the end of the day....the entire build.... i know guys that have that in wiring alone.... i have been unemployed for 5 months, starting my seconde build, and taking our fifth family vacation, i use my money wisely, so i can enjoy many hings, not just one.. hope that answers why we chose pierce and thier subs..... now type something really dumb back quickly, so that i can give a shit less, some more.... chop
