Me and a buddy are building a box for 3 12 inch w6's, I was curious if I could have them all in the same chamber or if I should divide them all into individual boxes we already have the entire box built excluding the face of the box.. The dimensions are 51 3/4 wide by 16 1/8 tall by the top board is 15 inches deep and the bottom board is 18 7/8 deep (the box will have a slant face)(I am also using 3/4 inch mdf). I would also like to know how big I should build the port I wanna get about 32-33 hertz. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am going to be building a box for my 2 15" btl fully loaded, I am curious wat of the two would be the best and how big should i cut/make the port, Also let me know if I mite need to make the box a lil bigger. ( i am also using 3/4 inch mdf) And should I have a baffle in between the subs or would one large box be best? Box 1 height 19" width 39.5" depth 23" Box 2 height 16" width 39" depth 35" Any help would be appreciated.

Ok thanks for everyones help.. So due you think like 4 cubic foot would be about optimal for 1 15" btl since I have alot of power.. and also wen you say 12-16 square inches of port per cubic foot how due i measure the ports cubic inch (sorry for the noobie question)
-
Personally both boxes follow within their guidelines but I would go with Box 2 since it is bigger and the port size depends on what frequency that you want it tuned (between 30-35Hz. If i wanted 32 hertz what would be the best size for the port and should i build it as two seperate boxes or one large box(no baffle)

I have a 94 cadillac fleetwood I am trying to find the best way to put 2 18" btl fully loaded in the trunk I have 2 t40001d rf amps and enough juice to run it all I just need to find out wat everyone thinks will be the best way to due it. Also is it ok to put the ports on the outsid of the box so that way i can keep the cubic foot in the enclosure at the max
-
Would it be better to have 2 seperate boxes or ! large box and with the box being 4 cubes what size should the port be
-
If I went with 2 fully loaded 15" btl's what due you think the optimal box size would be
-
i appreciate everything guys and I hope to start getting everything started in a week or so I'll keep you informed with the build
-
you think i could make the 2 15's louder than my buddy subaru he has 3 12" 9500s with 3 mtx 1501d
-
who would i talk to about changing them to 2 15"btl's
-
ordered bout a week ago
-
they said they could probably get everything faceing forward
-
alraedy ordered 2 18's and 2 rf t40001d amps and 4 of the biggest stinger batteries. It was all for my jeep but my old lady rolled it the other day on her way to work so i decided to see if i could make it fit in fleetwood.. I was talking to local stereo shop and they want to cut entire back deck out and redue how the trunk closes so that I can utilize the entire trunk.. thinking about having the ports external and have it ported into cab while speakers face forward

only if they are naughty... just kiddin, just kiddin... my kids hate loud noise for some reason (think its there mom) and anyways it mite be to loud for me in the car
-
I have 3 kids to go in the car also...

Any help is much appreciated This is going to be a tough build. 1 more question would it be ok to build the box with a few weird angles so that way i can maximize all my trunk space.. Dont know if i explaining it rite but I hope you mite know what I mean

I am about to purchase 2 18" Fi BTL subwoofers(dual 2 ohm).. I already own 2 t40001d Rockford Amps. I am installing this in a 96 cadillac fleetwood, the car is currently runiing a 2 300 amp altenator and 5 total yellow top batteries.. The questions I have are: ---Will these amps be enough for the subs? ---What would be the best box size? ---And what would be the best to tune the port too? ---And is there anything else I should get that anyone can think I will need?
-
I already updated my cars big three and just ordered four of the stinger batteries (the biggest ones), I have no problem with running all the correct wire and power but mybig thing is the sub sonic filter. Not sure if these amps have it or where to buy one... The box is being built by a buddy he said we will probably tune it to 33hz... This is my first system so I want it big and rite. any help wit the sub sonic would be very helpfull
-
How big should i try to build the box since i am going to run 2 t40001d rockford amps or would it be better to just run 1 of the amps
-
I could I am putting it all in the rear of a fleetwood so its going to be fun trying to get it to fit
