    Fi IB3-18

Nice to hear they will still be made, they are the best IB solution for the home. As for the "car audio people".... being a former one myself, it unfortunately takes me no imagination whatsoever to see that happening. I don't know how it is now, but back when I was into car audio, about 5% were into quality sound, and the rest wanted something big, I assume to make up for something else that was small.

Output of my ESX 75x2 amp?

Wow, this is great, a forum for some of the best amps ever made! I have a pair of ESX amps I purchased when they were being sold online a few years ago. I was amazed when I got them. They are beautiful amps. The heat sinks are so damn hefty, I swear I could use them to pound in nails. Well, I have always heard that the ESX amps were under-rated. Is this true? If so, by how much on average? (I have the 75x2) I'm using one of them bridged on an old-school Lanzar American 10" sub in a sealed box. This pro car stereo installer built it for me. It was his personal sub, but he couldn't use it anymore, because Lanzar had started building crap and he wasn't selling their stuff anymore. He was kinda sad to let it go. Anyway, he said that sub could handle a "lot" of power in a sealed box... 200 watts was the *least* he would use. All I know is that the ESX 75x2 bridged doesn't have a problem. That little sub POUNDS! So I figure the amp is putting out a little more than 200 watts. I'm going to take some pictures during lunch break and post them up on the picture thread. Anyway, keep up the good work. You shouldn't have made your amps so good! I just keep moving these ones from car to car, they never break!

    zed minilith...

I and many others *DO* buy it. You are basically saying Mr. Mantz has not been straight with people, when just the opposite is true. In my opinion, he has been far TOO forthcoming. Amps BLOW ALL THE TIME. Do you see any other companies spending the time to actually test the speakers invovled and find out they were defective. No, you don't. Mr. Mantz seems to be more of an engineer than a shyster or marketing expert. In a situation like this, that is not perhaps a good thing. He has already cleared this up. You just don't belive him, and want him to say there is something wrong with the amps involved. The guy has been making amps recognized as some of the best car amps in the world for decades. Do you really think he is going to start making something that's junk? The answer is no. "All this chit go around on the net." There have been 2-3 threads, with most people taking my point of view: Zed Audio has been honest about this, Zed Audio has always made great amps, and this situation has made me even more confident in Zed's products.
