I am wiring my d2 subwoofers to 1 ohm. When looking at the diagram below the outputs from the amplifier go to different different coils. Can I have both the positive and negative amplifier outputs going to one coil and have them branch off to the other coil? http://www.the12volt.com/12voltimages/1_2ohm_dvc_1ohm.gif

Hahaha I forgot my facebook status transfers over to my ssa account. I am still using headphones =( I am just loving the beats and can't wait to play some chopped and screwed in my car. It's going to be insane. Hopefully this weekend the subs will be in and then next weekend the front stage will be all set.
-
Hopefully the subs are in this weekend. I am back at college now so we can only work on it on the weekends.

What about agm batteries and concrete? The batteries are plastic wrapped so I don't think any contact will matter.

I will be using this in the near future =) -
The second one has more port area. If you look, it is the same as the first box but with an added back piece.

It's the AM. This is true .... Revision : When I wake up I will post pics.

It would be helpful if we knew what the final resistance you planned to wire these subs to as well as which kinetic battery you plan on buying. If you plan on having a 3000 watt amp to power those icons you are going to need more than just a kinetic battery. Also, if you are on a $350 budget you arent going to get a good amp in that price range.

The wall is pretty much constructed. Will post pics in the AM

If I had to crash a party that would be the way to do it.

I find this absolutely hilarious. Like yes it is a bitch move but think about it. You cleared an entire party out using a speaker.

alot of noise being picked up
Lucky 76 replied to Lucky 76's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
ummm iv got a noise problem my self but its a problem i never had before i put the system in over a year ago never had any noise at all. I pulled my deck out the other day and when i put it back in i had this nasty buzz that would change with engine rpm and you could here a bit of engine "wine" also but the buzz is much louder but what is really weired if i change source or change channel i get a thump or if i turn the volume from 1 to 0 i get a thump or from 0 to1 and it comes form both my sub amp and mids amp. My amps grounds are well made and tight and i tried a different deck and they both do the same thing but they are both pioneer's what is it about pioneer that would cause a noise problem? The only thing i can think of is my decks ground or maybe i broke a ground strap some where im going to run a new ground for my H/U and c if that does it Make a new thread. Nobody is going to answer your question because they won't see it. -

I am getting a lot of different noises coming out of my speakers. I have had this problem for a while. I thought it was my pioneer head unit but I guess that proved to be false. I have installed all new grounds and everything is wired correctly. I am getting not only alternator whine but ... noise from when I turn my fans on (ac/heat etc) and the noise increases as I increase the fan speed noise when I turn my signal light on or yield lights on - they noise pulses to the clicks of the signal lights noise when I turn my interior lights on and as the lights dim the noise dissipates. The wierd part is, if I turn my car onto accessory the noises are no longer there. These noises only occur when the car is running. It sounds like a factory ground issue but I am not sure. I would like some input from you guys. Thanks! -
you are going to loose A LOT of output
-
yeah and daily driver So are you going to be turning the gains down on the 3500s or are you running them full tilt? I am also curious to know what you are doing for your electrical and front stage.
-
Ya I was going to say you might want to get the 3500s. I am taking it that this will be for competition use?
-
post it in sq and fabrication section
-
That is gonna be nuts. Did you decide on a box design yet? The 4500s would be nice btw.
