Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! What is this BS!!!!

idk where they found shipping for that cheap ... cheapest i could find was around 550 lmao

*pukes* Can you write an actual sentence or are you only capable of ellipses? 2 ohm components are a marketing gimic and not helpful in your overall plan, the RE's do NOT have especially good midbass, I'd "love" to see you put 300wrms to their tweeter, and who cares about power when your efficiency is crap. All in all that was not a good recommendation at least for the reasons cited. Oh the CDT's you picked out surely won't have midbass though. Alright since everyone is calling me out for grammar I will switch it up. The midbass on the REs are incredible for a 6.5. As for the 300wrms goes, that is to the mid and tweeter. I will give you the efficiency could be better and you do need a lot of power to get them to shine.

which would you choose for a h/u and active setup?

my problem is that i have a 1300 dollar store credit to sonic electronix and will not use it for anything else ... i wanted the alpine but due to the fact that sonic does not sell it i cannot get it ... what do you recommend i use then instead of the 360.2? -
Pretty much just called out all of us on that one. I'm not used to typing correctly on forums. His post in paticular, just blurrs into the next word. definately so lol

what is your zip code ... i have some icons and i might be able to get them to you for cheaper than that as far as shipping goes

x2 - i didnt feel like going into detail but if the cop was close they definately can tell ... it is easy to tell where the low frequencies are coming from esp if u r rattling around =)
-
i dont know if its worth the time going to court ... they look at you as an offender no matter what you do ... the judge usually always sides with the cop ... you have a valid point that low frequencies are omnidirectional but i do not know if that will hold up in a court of law ... you might actually confuse some people in the process

your subs are most likely going to drown out your rears anyway ... id take them out to make room ... as for speakers the re xxx 6.5s get real loud and sound damn good (esp midbass) ... they take 150 no probelm ... people are running 300 to them all day and they are 2 ohm ... the are the same price as those ... just make sure your can fit them in ur door ... they have almost a 4" mounting depth ... i ran a 3/4" spacer and they fit goood ... i have a lincoln btw

u should make a new thread for this but this will explain what an active crossover does - http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ZwVMee08EhN/learn/learningcenter/car/crossovers.html - everything is correct on this except for the fact that the writer believes dave matthew's band is "rightous" -

it should be noted that the dnx9140 has a 14 band eq ... also for the 360 i would have to run the highs off the front input and the mids off the rear input on the 360 ... it really shouldnt make a difference tho -
i agree with m5 ... on the lincoln models they add a lot of dampening to get rid of a lot of road noise and engine noise ... this will not only make those noises quieter but also keep a lot more music inside ur car

active crossover?

ya the pico fuse blew because it was grounded through the harness ... what do you mean by the realization of how it will be set up? ... i guess the 2 100.4 amps will be fine because i will be able to bi amp them -
I have 2 sets of re xxx 6.5 components ... i was thinking about going active but i do not know what the benefits would be and if it would be worth me spending the extra money for another amp ... would these speakers do well with an active setup? they are rated at 150 rms each (mid+twwet combined) ... how much power should i put to each mid and each tweeter? the ohm rating on the set is 2 ohm but will that change each speakers impedence?
-
i was just wondering what the typical output on a 100.4 will do at 2 ohm. i have 2 sets of re xxx comps and i wanted to know if this amp will supply enough power to them
-
please pm me if we can work out a package deal if i were to preorder 8 of these ... thanks!
-
i might still be interested ... what is the projected release date?
-
5 pairs. o alright nvm then ... i guess ill have to stick with 2 3500s then because id have to buy 8 1200s then each strapped to its own sub lol and tune them down a lot
-
why does it say on the maxx link you can link up to 5?
-
might have to then and link 3 and then another 3 ... what would i get for a combined average power at 1 ohm if i were to link 3 of these together?
-
so the casing is going to be the same and they will not be strappable?
-
When you say the 50.4 isn't flexible enough, are you speaking with the assumption that he'll use the crossovers in the amp? I planned on running 4 tweeters off this amp using an 880prs to set crossover points, but now I'm trippin out here. you would have to use the hpf of the h/u ... the 50.4 will not run 4 tweeters crossed over at the amp only 2

pioneers double dins dont offer as much audio features as the new excelon ... the 50 watts was not from the h/u but the amp ... when the pico blows the rcas get all fd up in pio decks ... why do you say i will blow something up? if i put intended power to it w no clipping it will be fine wont it? -
I understand that if you have the same setup you need to double your wattage each time to get 3 db louder. My question is when you get up to say 4kw and you have to double it to 8kw to get 3 db louder is there a significant difference in loudness? Is it the same audible difference than say the same setup at 200 rms is doubled to 400 rms.
