Would a set of these work well for midbass? http://www.usspeaker.com/la8cnmb-1.htm

7" in the door is what I meant. Please enlighten me to how I can meet my requirements. I will do whatever it takes.

wtf is this on here for
-
reguardless i will be running a 100.4 and a 50.4 ... the reason a 3 way might be louder is due to the cancelation of the xxxs
-
ya its a much better idea to go with 2 12s. Not only would you have more cone area but you could buy 2 of the baseline btls or get 2 of the btls fully loaded and you would be fine for that 3500 watter

I had these before and blew them up because sonicelectronix sent me a bad amp. I got 2 new sets under warranty. I put the old ones in and I cannot say I was impressed with 2 sets. They sounded great and I could feel the vibrations in the floor from the kick panels but It was not much louder than a single set.

Yeah seriously. Why do you guys need to waste money on vitamins and minerals that you get from your everyday foods? To get bigger? Stop being a vagina and work out a little harder. You bash people for taking supplements, yet what do you think OTC vitamins are? Supplements. x3

Duran, there is more too getting bigger than just working out. I agree, you can get your most of your nutrition from food, but it can be expensive and time consuming cooking chicken six times a day. And I would never recommend eating red meat all the time. As delicious as it is, it's high in fat and cholesterol. It doesn't make you any tougher not taking supplements. Again it all depends on what you want. If you want to be a Jay Cutler, or any form of bodybuilding, you're going to need dietary supplementation. If you have no problem being 5'9" 140lbs, you're not going to need any supplementation. x2

I am an amature when it comes to car audio. I post more help questions than I do solutions to other peoples' problems. The xxx are nice but I was going to put 2 sets in the front. People told me I would get cancelation and it would not be loud like I was expecting. Therefore I am seeing what else is out there as far as a 3 way front stage and see how much it would benefit me.

A 7" would not pass?
-
You could probably fit it if you were so face the sub up towards the trunk and have the port facing the cabin. Pontiacs have some big trunks but that is also going to require a big box. You should see what the max dimensions you have for the box and then post them over here.

Shipped the rockfords back. 500 amp fuse rating on a 4000 watt amp was rediculous. Efficiency was something like 76%. Don't know what I am doing for comps. I havent even installed the RE XXXs yet and I might sell them.

6.5 in the door and 6.5 in the kick
-
7" would most likely fit without the need for door modification.
-
The factory cutout was a 6x8. However this was 6 wide and 8 high. The way my door is setup there is no way I can cut anymore area width wise to fit an 8.
-
The problem is i have no room for an 8. i looked at my door and the 6.5 is barely fitting. If you would like I can take a picture of the door to show you and maybe you can tell me what I should do. Cutting more holes in my door is out of the question and I am incapable of doing fiberglass.

I have 4 18s walled going in and I need to get as loud as humanly possible but I need it to sound somewhat good. I will sacrafice some quality if it means getting louder. I like my highs and my mid bass. I listen to a lot of techno, disco, and hip hop.

At work we have numerous rtas used to test the frequency responses of circuits. This is tested through an osciloscope input. My question is if I were to find a mic that had an osciloscope conenctor at the end of it would the rta work for what I want it to do?
-
i was just looking at my doors and i am pretty sure i cannot fit an 8 in my door. I am pretty sure the largest I can go is a 6.5. Is there still a good 3 way setup i can do with a 6.5 in the door and then whatever else in the kick or on the dash?

If that is with port and displacement calculated in you better make a bigger box. Minimum space is never a good call. If you can squeeze more out of the box size I definately would. As for the 3500 I wouldnt use it to power that sub for daily unless you plan on tuning it down. That amp will put out close to 4kw rms at 1 ohm. Impedence rise does not matter. For every hike in impedence there is also a drop in impedence when listening to music because of numerous sine waves. If you were competing and you were to play strictly tones this would be a differnent story as you could calculate the impedence rise of that single sine wave. I understand the BTL is capable of 2000+ rms but surely it is not able to withstant almost double its rated power for very long. I would stick with around 2500 rms on a loaded btl if I were you. This is straight from Fi BTL 18 – Ported box we recommend using 5-8 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz tuning, you can tune a little higher if you wish but we recommend keeping it close to 32hz for a daily driver. Again the same 12-16 square inches of area applies per cubic foot of volume.

Did you buy 2 sets of components as well?

Yeah seriously. Why do you guys need to waste money on vitamins and minerals that you get from your everyday foods? To get bigger? Stop being a vagina and work out a little harder. Wow. So much insight to your post. You and M5 should stick to car audio where your vast, overwhelming knowledge gives you the right to bash people and their ideas even if they only want help. Of course what else is one to do when they are of a superior mind? I beleive it says be respectful of others goals and share some of your experiences. You did neither. You failed to read my whole post...there you go I highlighted what you need to read Right. I must have missed that in your one sentence. Not everyone can get all those vits and mins through their diet alone. Hence the word supplements. And why do you even care what people take and dont take? Its fine if you dont like or take them. Thats what makes everybody different. Vitamins and minerals aren't synthetic, they are natural, and they come from eating food. Protein is found in dairy products and red meat, also soy, and eggs. Creatine is another popular one, it's found in fish, and again red meat. I care because it's pointless for people to spend money on this stuff, there are better things to spend money on. You do realize all whey protein is is dehydrated milk and soy. It is impossible to consume 1 gram of useable protein with the essential amino acids in it per pound of body weight. You would gain 10 lbs in one week. As for certain creatines such as monohydrate they can also be found naturally in red meat but you will never get adequate supplementation out of it. I will agree with you on certain products that are deemed artificial such as no-xplod (even though I take it) and animal stack.

alright thank you

What do you consider a true 3 way setup as far as speaker sizes? Also do you have recommendations? I have around a $500 spending cap.
