I have done nothing to the suspension yet and nothing to the tires. I need to get new tires for the winter and then I plan on putting in new springs in the spring to fit my new rims I am putting on. Will my car be fine for the 6 months without adequate suspension? What about the tires? How long will they last for with low tred? They should not pop on me correct?

    Car alarm

That has to be the stupidest thing I ever heard. People would not even look to see if something happened.

I meant the superflux not the superbrite. This is what I planned to do for my interior. Tell me if this sounds alright and if it would be adequate lighting. I planned on putting... In Each Door - 1 Green Superflux In the top change holder - 2 UV Superflux in bottom map holder In Cupholders - 1 Green Superflux / Cupholder Vents - 1 UV Superflux/Vent 1 Blue Silicon Strip / Side (Above Feet) 2-3 Blue Silicon Strip to light up the ceiling I also planned on doing this 2-3 Silicon strips shinning onto the box (also would light up the back ceiling) You are probably wondering how I am going to mount the silicon strips on the ceiling. I am taking out the dvd player in the back because it rattles like crazy and am going to make a piece out of mdf to house all the strips. This should light the ceiling nicely. The under each of the front seats facing the wall I was going to put a blue ribonstrip to light the ground and the bottom of the box. I do not know what the best way to light the port up UV color would be. What would you suggest doing so the entire port shines out UV powerfully. I was thinking maybe 6ft of the flexible led strip placed carefully on the edge of the port so the leds would face the back of the wall. Then for the back back where the batteries are going to be. I was going to run 3 or 4 blue silicon strips shinning on the back as a whole. Then I was going to take 4 of the UV superflux and mount 2 on each side of the seats so it creates a shadow effect on the seats and contrast with the blue. I do not know what else to do for the back. If you have any suggestions on any of this let me know thanks!

Ya that's what I was going to do. Is 2 runs enough for each battery? Also I was planning on grounding them right in front of the hump. Is that alright?

I have some questions about lighting the inside of the port. I was thinking about inserting oznium's superbrite leds inside the box. I want the light to be visible inside the port and when the fog comes out I want the fog to catch the light. How many of the superbrites do you recommend to light the internals of the box so the light comes out of the port? I do not want to see individual leds shinning out of the port. I want it to be all blended into one color. Also my uncle hooked me up with some 3/4" threaded rod from his work. He was asking me what the hell I needed such a thick rod for? He told me that I could lift up a car with a rod that thick. Why is 3/4" threaded rod needed? Is it not a little overkill? Also how do you recommend I ground all the batteries and amps to the chassis? Should I weld a copper grounding block to the floor and ground everything off that block? If so where can I find such a block?

Also, what is the purpose of those metal strips that the threaded rods connect to? Are they needed?

Box materials right now is already up to $700+! Im figuring close to $1000 after it is all said and done. Where did you want those l-brackets? I bought 15. Is that enough?

Alright so we got most of the bracing material. We had to resort to 1 1/2" dowels if that is alright. We could not find anything larger. We found some 3/4" threaded rods but we could not find the longer 48" pieces. I did not want to buy 1/2" because that one was looking very important. We are going to have to go somewhere else to find that. Where did you get yours? Also we could not find the poly nuts so we are going to need to find some of those. Where did you find those? We bought 6 cans of the Good Stuff Large Gap Filler. Is this enough or should I buy more. We still need to buy some fabric to cover the car so it does not get ruined.

    Signal Delay?

My questions with the maxxlink are as follows -If I were to use this without strapping my amps wouldnt it be the same thing as using y splitters? -If I were to strap the amps using the maxxlink would there be more gains? -I am using a 3sixty processor. Would the maxxlink screw up the signal generated by the 3sixty? -Is the maxxlink my best option?
  12. I am going to be running 4 saz1500 amps. My question is if I were to have the rca's signal go into the input of one amp and then use the outputs on that amp to connect it to the next amps' inputs and I do this for all 4 amps like a chain will there be a noticeable amount of signal delay? Would I be better off getting some form of rca block that has 4 outputs and run each output to it's own amp?
  13. Lucky 76

    Signal Delay?

I have heard about the max link. I have heard of people using it and getting great results from it as far as spl goes. Would this benefit me more than strapping?

    Signal Delay?

Alright thanks. Ya that will make life a lot easier. Will I loose any power doing this?

Santa payed me a little visit yesterday 9 anl fuse holders - more will most likely be needed 150ft of 1/0 and 50ft of 4 gauge. This does not include the 2 strands of power already rand from front to back of the car and wire used to do the big 3 =) Is monster cheaping out on their wire or does this new patented magnetic tube in the middle actually do something?

O Damn 7.6? That is incredible. The good news is if something were to internally happen to the box someone with a small frame could easily climb inside the box to assess the situation The reason I do not want it to say Xcon is I think it is a little too flashy. It also will not look right with the granite finish I plan on using. I think it saying SSA on it makes it look cleaner.

    Signal Delay?

Yes but I do not want to strap the amps. I want to run each amp individually to its own sub. Would it be a better idea if I strapped 2 together and ran 2 subs to each of the strapped amps? I did not buy the subs yet.
  19. Does the epicenter help increase you spl or does it just act like a bass boost where it will just cause the amp to clip. Would it be a good idea to buy one if I mainly use an ipod?

Ya. I am pretty sure if my dad finds out what is going into my car I am going to be shot. Somehow him finding out 6 amps were going into my car did not phase him lmao.

My main concern is would it be possible for a small child to be sucked into such a massive port if I were to reverse the phase on these subs? Seriously though how wide is that port on the bottom lmao!!!

I come home to find literally 23 new notifications for this topic. I ponder for a moment and wonder .... What would cause such a drastic amount of posting? Could it be that Shawn not only posted prints but found an incredible way to get competition porting out of the box? YES!!!!! ... This thing looks awsome! I am pumped to start this. It is looking absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for all your help on this design Shawn. Without you this would have never been possible.

So we have at least 2"s in the middle near the hump and then after the hump it dips up again so there is even more room after the hump - I am talking about the hump hump not the transmission hump lol
