knukonceptz wire vs others

i like the knukonceptz flex cable. Kicker Hyperflex is also good. I would stay away from Monster Cable. I bought 250 ft of 1/0 to find out there is some plastic tube shit in the middle(apparently a noise reducer but very doubtful). I bought the monster flex cable and it dosent move at all. Just a rip off in general. If you dont need flexibility welding cable is the best way to go about things. -
So I emailed xs and asked about what I needed as far as batteries go. Here is the actual email. I just wanted to know if this is all I really need? I want my voltage to stay up and dont want it dropping. What would you recommend for my current installation? As it stands right now I have a 260 amp alternator. I drive a lincoln aviator which is the same as a ford explorer. The stock alternator was a 130 amp. I do not know how much current draw it pulled but I am sure it is more than the average car. I listen to my music loud 90% of the time. As for my current installation goes I have 4 of the sundown saz1500s going in which have fuse ratings of 150 amps and then I have a sundown sax100.4 and a sax120.2 which have fuse ratings of 90 and 60. So that is a total fuse rating of 750 amps. I am assuming that it would be better for me to replace my stock front battery as well to prevent voltage equalization of the different batteries. Just let me know what you recommend and if you could give me a price on it shipped to 06795. Thanks, Christopher Perugini Here is the email from them: Hi Chris, We actually have a new model that will bolt directly in place of your factory Group 65 battery. It is our D6500 model and it will be available on November 20th. If you cannot wait until then, our D2700 model may fit if you have some additional height clearance. If there is not enough height available, you can go with our D3400 and it will fit just fine. These batteries, along with your 260A alt will provide enough power to supply about 3kW. To properly supplement your 7,500W system you will need to add a secondary bank in the back. There are many options to choose from, and I would select whatever best fits your installation. For example, you could use 5 D680's, 3 D925's, 1 D3100... the selection is up to you. To get a better feel for the wattage, refer to the attached brochure. Once you know all the items you need, just let me know and we'll get you a shipped price. Thanks! Customer Service Team

i would recommend the wood blocks. The phone books could create port noise due to the pages. Plus you could measure how much volume you are actually decreasing the box by

The problem is not the subs it is the box . The q is a sound quality sub and if u look at the response curve it is pretty flat. Adjust your tuning and you will be fine. You need to find the sweet spot for your listening pleasure. In most cases the lower u tune it the more high end you will loose and vice versa.

I am pretty sure it is calculated without a charging source. You have an alt that will charge those batts and you will also not be drawing that much current at a constant rate.
-
I am going to run a single d3100 and the new starting bat they are coming out with and I will go from there.

I would go with the fi bls over the nightshades if I were you. The nightshades are a lot more money and you will not be able to use and abuse them like they were designed for with a 2kw amp. You might want to look into two of the ssa icon 15s. They are rated at 1k rms each and in my opinion sound incredible. I had 4 of them in my car and they burried lows off a rf t40001bd amp.

I know for a fact that MOSFETs are used because of their efficiency. I am not sure about the low noise though. They remain a lot cooler as well that is also why they are efficient I a believe.

ya i sold my bxi to my friend. I get a little jealous each time I see it. He has his blending with the blue neons in his car and it looks delish. It actually does rated power too despite what most people have say. Great amp for the money.

I am not gonna lie, I had 2 audiobahn aw1206 on a hifonics bxi2006d. For the money I spent I couldnt have been happier. This was my first install and didnt really care as much about the way it sounded but how loud it could get. Back then the louder it was the better it sounded. I traded them for a set of cvr 15s and to be honest with you the audiobahns actually hit more precisely than the cvrs did. The cvrs got a little sloppy.

they are also very easy to follow using picture diagrams instead of schematics for you less electrical savvy people. -
they are going to sound like ass regardless. tell them to throw them out and get something else.
