Nope. Not getting the oil change next week so we gotta wait another week lmfao. All the pieces should get sanded down nicely, the pieces will be ready to be put together, the baffles will be completed, and then the week after it should get installed

Those subs are recommended to be ported. The problem is your enclosure. You might have leakage as well as a bracing problem. Do those first. It will save you the hassle of building a new box not to mention it would be cheaper. Those subs should be pounding hard and sounding good while doing it. Perhaps it is that you have them tuned so high? Try fixing these things. Also rattles are fixed with sound deadening =)

This weekend was incredible. Josh and I spent literally from 8 until 10 am just looking that the subs and taking random pics with them lol. Work was accomplished. Get ready for some amazing pics. I am about to post about 50 lol. I apologize ahead of time for some of the pics where I look like an absolute retard.

They should have just tested that bitch at the car's peak frequency and seen what the db meter ran.

It is looking good. If that piece of plexi was shaking like that I do not even want to know what is going to happen to those tv internals over time.

I came home to find a wall of boxes inside my house. My parents would not bring them downstairs due to the fact that they were so heavy and afraid that they would throw out their backs. I waited for Josh to come over to open the beasts up. Keep in mind I have never seen an 18" subwoofer before. I opened the box and just started laughing my ass off. I took it out and I just could not control myself. These subs are no joke. Wait till you see pictures. You really have no idea how big an 18" subwoofer is until you see it in person. Pictures do not do a subwoofer of that size justice. I got a nice chill down my spine too ahhahaah. My dad proceeded to yell at me right after Josh left claiming that I got a hard on from looking at the subwoofer. He also yelled at me because he dosent know how all the seats are going to fit back in with 4 of these beasts in there. Little does he know that they are not ahhahahahahahahhahaha. Might as well shoot myself now

Well in order for you to keep up with those subs you are going to need a very powerful frontstage. Quality is something you are going to lack unless you plan on going active setup with image dynamics horns and a set of their xs69 midbasses. That will get very pricey though. Like $600 for the horns and mids lol. Not counting the active crossover and amp/s for the active setup.

That is true. You should ask ***** ***** what he likes better. He used to have the btls and switched over to the mayhems. Join the **** forum and ask there.
-
just look up *** forum on google. you will figure out his name when you get on the sight.
-
Its not that, Im just looking for the absolute loudest with the best quality possible, if that makes sense. Im pretty sure that the decibel difference from the xcons to the mayhems is noticeable. By NO means am I slandering or insulting, just for my wants/needs I want/need as many watts flowing through my subs as possible... Im weird like that. I think Im gonna go with Mayhems, the 4500D and 1 XS3100, would that work for what my goals are? Ya. You should be fine with that. The mayhems will sound better than the btls. What are you running for a front stage?

That sub did work. It was playing at 16 hz as well lol. I wonder what it would have done at something in the 30s lol. I did not get to see the construction of it. How did they build it? Did they use an electromagnet or did they just power the piston with an engine or something like that?
-
Btw I like the way you countersunk the threaded rod. I am going to have to steal that idea from you.
-
O damn. I just realized that amp has 4 sets of power/grounds lmao.
-
Just a quick question. What did you use to coat your wall with? I was going to just sand mine down all nice and spray pain it but that plastic look is nawyce.
-
I am running xcons and I plan on winning competitions
-
Why havent you considered going with the xcons off a 3500d? The xcons sound great and get loud. It will be much louder than your friends type xs and will sound better too. You will have him beat in output and sq. For bracing you might want to run dowels and corner bracing. Also you might want to do a double baffle. Too much bracing is better than too little.
