Whats the most trouble you got into for playing your system? xD
djphilly replied to loveeemachine's topic in General Audio
Now as far as road rage, I pulled up to the light barely beating since I had my window down and the car next to me was beating his system as loud as he could and thought he was the shit. So I turn my system up and killed his shit, so he wanted to get mad and follow me like he wanted to do something but did nothing. I proceeded to turn into a gas station like whats up since you wanna follow me like a stalking bitch but he just keep driving, so then I speed up next to him again and gave him a taste of his own medicine. Why do lame as people do stuff like that, pull up to you playing their system at full tilt like it's better than everyone else but when you blow them away they wanna get mad (lames i guess). x2. I do that when people think that got a badass system. never had anyone really get mad, more embarrased or they envy me for blowing them away.LOL -

not much trouble in the car audio world. pretty considerate in neighborhoods. going down the street is a different story. numerous times I have been given the WTF face. LOL I'm a DJ and I can't tell you how many times I have had the cops called on the parties that I throw. no matter if it's a house party or a private party in halls and parking lots. I remember one time I did a gig in a school parkiing lot and the surrounding business all called the school to tell us to turn it down it's disturbing them inside the building a good 1500 feet away. pretty loud -
I kinda agree. The cop would have the burden of proving if it was you that was playing loud music. If you act "stupid" like you don't have a system in the trunk. I guess you could get away with it. Can't say the same thing with a wall.

yea. we had a topic just like this not to long ago and it did not turn kinda bad. anyways, my two cents. don't waste your money on a 40 farad cap when you can spend the same money on a good dry cell battery that would be at least 100time better -
Battery melting..

Yes L5.. my temporary system until I get my box finished and the amp ordered. I have to check that stuff out tomorrow, since it was a little dark when I was doing all this stuff, and my garage is full things for my 12 cu ft. box. Ya know you never get anything done when the weather doesn't like you.. o that happens all to often up here in canada lol normally we got snow and then the polar bears come around and wnat to play lmoa! jk! Well I guess Ive hit a Black Bear on the highway doing 70 up in Minnesota, just north of Minneapolis... oh dont worry, I went back the next day to take pictures, Ive got some pics if you want to see that too Jaw was ripped off.... And keep in mind I hit it with a small Honda Accord... wow -
Bout time you did an update. LOL j/k great job. keep it up

Its easier to hide than a BIG ASS WALL in your car, which everyone can see and if you get pulled over there is no way in hiding a big ass wall full of woofers if it were illegal (use common sense, I know people do shit that is illegal all the time including me).

I saw this episode of MYTHBUSTERS where they were doing a special on SPL EXTEME vehicles. they made a huge sub out of some metal or something. anyways, they put it in a car and they did a 161.3 at 16hz
-
can i fix it?? or do i have to get it repaired?? It's internal. if it's under warranty, send it in. if not, do whats more economic for you, replace it or fix it.
-
Sounds like the amp is bad. had the same thing happen to one of my customers JL amp. kept blowing fuses when the car was turned on. replaced the amp and everything was fine.

29oz fiberglass mat. heavy thick stuff. few layers of this stuff along with the right bracing will make it solid

depends. Supposedly, your eardrums will rupture at 150db. i've been in vehicles well above 150db and can still hear above average Jet takeoff (25 M) 150 Eardrum rupture Aircraft carrier deck 140 Earphones at high Thunderclap, live rock music, 120 Human pain theshold Jet takeoff (305 M), outboard 100 Serious hearing damage (8 hrs) got this off a website. hope this helps

IMO, the best bang for the buck as far as amps: HIFONICS, SOUNDSTREAM, AQ If you have the money to spend: SUNDOWN -

Well you cant get the most from a trunk with a 12" sub and ported enclosure with best bang for your buck equipment. Not saying you cant have a good system but you wont be getting the most from it. I think you should figure out what you sub your running first and then decide on an amp because your jumping from 1200 rms to 2000rms, seems like your all over the place. You should give a budget on how much you have to spend or want to spend (wires, box, electrical, amp and subs). Depending on sub, you can get alot from a trunk. but I agree with jay-cee, figure out a budget and go from there on which direction you want to go. I was assuming that you already had the sub and wanted opinion on the amp. -

I like their speakers, but don't have experience with their amps.
