Anyone know about MA Audio HK1997?
djphilly replied to tripslipfall's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
If it has a problem where it never goes off then I damn sure wouldnt want it in my car (drawing power continously to eventually drain your battery). You should look into something else cheap and new but I wouldnt get that because it will be cheap now but may cause you all kind of problems in the future which probably wont be cheap to fix. Just my .02 x2. wouldn't want that continuously draining power from the battery. -
How many times have you rode down the street going to the store or to a friend's house or something, and you are at a stop light and someone pulls up with the system bumping and they think that they are the Shyt. what do you do when this happens to you? I personally. turn my system up for about 10secs turn it back down and hear nothing but sounds of the street. embarrassed, the other person puts their's on mute in shame. I thinks it funny a little. Waking up amps...
djphilly replied to Hell-Razor's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
All I have to say is wow, I've heard it all. Did you even read the amps manuals to know the name or spot they go or do any research to find this out on your own but I guess not (SUB OUT is for RCA's and Remote Wire is usually blue or blue w/white strip). Read amps manual and head-units manual, that should be the first thing to do before installing especially if your a beginner. Reading is fundamental. wow. LOL!! -

Waking up amps...

what you could do is find a small empty ignition switch in your fuse block under your dash and use that for your remote turn on. -
wow

i would assume that inhaling small particals of anything could hurt you. especially wood. the same concept goes for wearing a mask when sanding bondo.

beautiful. what's the mounting depth of that sub

what's really popular in the audio shops in houston is memphis, kicker, JL. I sell and try to push soundstream, re audio/usamps. people here don't know about these companies. let alone sundown or IA. people are going to go with what they know and if what they know if what all the other shops tell them. i had a customer with two kicker L7s and i'm telling him that one RE AUDIO xxx-15 that would blow both of those subs out of the water. he didn't believe me until i showed him the sub. he was speechless. long story short, i installed it and he couldn't have been happier. just having someone say thank you for the good work and honesty about product is the satifaction that i need.

when i'm sanding or using the table saw. then yes i were goggles. but if i'm just assembling, no i don't

x2. I just started my own business in houston,tx and i'm operating out of my garage right now until i get the funds to start a store front. I get NUMEROUS, I mean NUMEROUS people coming to me about what another shop said about product or how things are supposed to be done and everytime i have to school them on what is right and it blows their mind on how much they were misinformed. I think it's rediculous how some shops prey on the customer.

Great Videos Explaining Electrical System Needs

What do you mean by MDF being hard on equipment? Please explain more, I havent coughed up blood (none of my friends have either and they build boxes all day long). Instead of writing small statements, please give better explanantions so I can further understand. If this was the case then why do everybody and there mother use MDF (95% of the time if not more). If you build your box correctly you dont need screws or nails, so that is not to relevant (plus I used nails in my box). I agree. I've never heard of people coughing up blood or anything like that. me and my friend build boxes out of MDF for people out of a garage and never has he said anything like that. Yes there is going to be dust. when is there not going to be dust in the air when working with wood?? If your worried about the strength of MDF. you could go with birch wood. it's lighter but more dense that MDF.

I would of slapped some pucking reality in is ass to wake him up while laughing at him, if he was hitting 229dbs then everyone would know about it by now (do TL meters even go that high, I would of said what did he use to measure it if they dont). the funny thing is that he was so confident in what he was talking about. i told him that the record is held by dd and stetsom at like 181. somthing. he was like well i know he hit 229db. YEA RIGHT!!

I was talking to a guy at a local shop and he was telling me that he had a friend that has 3 pioneer premier spl subs that was hitting 229db. I just laughed in his face. he was looking at me like I was the fool.

SBN 2009 Virgil Williams • 1987 Rabbit (soundstream XXX-18 &soundstream XXX15K) • Ultimate 1 – 1st (169.9 dB) • 169.6, then 169.9, then 170.3, then 170.2 There's your proof or power right there. a single 18 and 15,000 watts. It took on an additional 5,000rms, can you say ridiculous. I was always interested in Soundstream Subs especially the Tarantula series but always picked Kicker CVX's over them(not saying I made the best decision since I never heard any of Soundstreams subs), just wondering how good are Soundstream subs. my new setup is going to be 2 soundstream xxx-18's and 2 xxx-6500d's. i've seen these things handle an atomic 7000.1 daily no problem.
