99 accord coupe 3.0L...pretty sure the alt puts out around only 100amp...i need to figure out if i will be able to power around 1300RMS for my fi BL..what all should i get? I got the amp, used to have 4 gauge thinking about running 0 gauge with the new set up..i need suggestions i really have no idea about this kind of stuff, extra batteries new alt??anything guys need help.. thanks!

Stupidly I bought an 18 Fi BL and didn't realize I couldn't fit the recommended box inside my trunk...its anywhere between 4-4.5 cubic ft..Is there anyway I can build a new box similar in size that will increase the current SPL levels and help not suffocate the sub-woofer so much?

First, that has nothing to do with the box. Second, that is a terribly idiotic goal. Your system should be for your enjoyment, not for intentionally disturbing the peace. Last, any sound lost to the outside is sound not remaining within the vehicle. All of that bass exiting the vehicle is bass not making it to the listener inside of the vehicle. Which is bad. Which reverts back to my second point. Terribly sorry its an "idiotic goal." My intentions are not exactly motivated to disturb the peace. I've heard systems passing on the streets and I enjoy listening to the loud ones driving by also enjoying how those same cars sound in the inside of the vehicle.

Ya i realized that after i bought it..i just thought bigger was better, but now i know thats not the case.

I'll try and size it up on the next box..the other one barely fit, but is there anything I can do to make it any better anyways besides building a bigger box?

Just starting to get really into car audio...Bought the Fi BL 18 last year and put it in a 4.0 cubic ft box running around 1100 RMS (i know its a small box, but its in a trunk).. haven't driven in over year, but about to start back up. My question is what makes the bass sound so different.. I mean my friend had 2 12's in a smaller box and his just sounds so clean and clear, while it sounds crisp inside, on the outside the car it really isn't banging like it is in the inside. My set up however just sounded mean and powerful inside the car and fairly loud on the outside..I've heard the terms (clean bass) and (dirty bass) before, but I'm not exactly sure what is meant by that. Can anyone describe it a little further and what exactly makes them sound different? Also I'm getting a new box built professionally and I'm wondering what they have to do to make a box that will let people feel the sound waves as I'm driving by, but also keeping it loud inside the car? Thanks. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

I guess ill try that temporarily, could i just keep unpluggin the wire when my cars off? And this isnt going to mess up my amp and blow the fuses right?

I recently bought a hifionics brutus amp and the blue hifionics loogo works, but the power led does not come on. The manual said if this happens theirs not enough power going through the remote wire and said to use a jumper wire and connect it to the 12V+? Im not exactly sure what to do, and i def dont wanna take my chances and screw it up. Can someone tell me what to do?

Well im in my garage right now trying to decide if i should make a 5" slot port tuned to 32hz, a 4" slot port tuned to 31hz, or a 3" tuned to 27hz... Im using the RE calculator to build a box and when im looking at the 5" port it says the Volume internal, and volume displaced is 2000...on the others its 1500 and below..i have no idea what this means, is it how loud the box will be or what..Which port u think i should design???Also the larger the port the less box volume i have..its been between 3.6-4ft3..i cant make a bigger box so let me kno which port is gonna be the best!! PS. the box i have been running is below 1000 volume internal and displaced, so im guessing the higher the number the greater the sound???i could be wrong..

Ight so saying that is it safe to say i can turn my amps input level max and the fuses wont blow???
