Ok this might be a little long but here goes. I finally put in my RL-P 15. The enclosure it went into was a 2.0 cubes sealed afer displacement.. This sub is also being powered by a crossfire vr1000d at 2 ohms putting out about 500-600 watts. I set my gains with a MM and then proceded to go ahead with testing. I went on a 1.5 hour drive, and basicly went crazy with the MP3s. I am going to start off by saying this driver is completely amazing, everything I threw at it was down right accurate and loud. I started off with some rap, tracks like Trick Daddy - Let's Go, Trick Daddy - Sugar, Lil' Jon - various tracks, and Busta Rymes - Put Your Hands, St. Lunatics - Midwest Swing, Snoop Dogg - Whats My Name. This is just some that I remember listening to. Every one of these tracks were down right amazing. The bass was accurate and also very loud. Sugar was one of my favorites for this sub along with Let's Go and Put your hands which all have some amazing bass. Then after I arrived at my destination and left I put in my rock MP3 disc, lets just start out by saying for rock its down right hard to please me, the brahma 12 and atlas 12 couldn't do it. But once I started playing some rock tracks my face lit up with a smile. Tracks that I remeber testing Mudvayne - F*cking Determined, Happy? both tracks produced the bass I was looking for in rock hard hitting and very accurate with little overhang. Some other tracks were Marylin Manson - Dope Show, I love the bass on this track its by far my most favorite song for bass in rock. Just hearing this song off this sub increased my smile 10 fold. Korn - Got the Life, incrediable bass and very very loud, Our Lady Peace - All for You once again very accurate and amazing. At the very end of my trip I decided to play one last song that I knew would make this sub shine, Perfect Circle - Passive, my mouth was wide open, first of all I love the song and second this songs bass is just beautiful period. I couldn't believe how hard this was hitting, after this song I knew it was worth every penny and more this sub is down right nasty, accurate and just plain good. As for a comparison between my other subs, Atlas 12 was about half as loud as this but very close if not the same in SQ. The Atlas was getting 250 watts in a 1.25 cube sealed enclosure. Brahma 12 here is the interesting thing, to my ears the brahma was just as loud with 1,000 watts in a 1.25 cube enclosure, but the SQ of my RL-P beat it. Now my brahma is over 2 years old and well broken in. My RL-P has only 1.5 hours of play time, and half the power, but does have the cone advantage. For 500 watts and the price and the option of later down the road to add another and put 1,000 watts to both togather. This is one great subwoofer and very happy so far. Thanks to Mike of SoundSplinter for the great sub, and very fast customer service. Oh and here are some pics!!!
