  1. Overall I was wondering the pros and cons of each of the woofers. I would be putting four of them in my trunk. Sq isnt much of a priority. Which would be louder and handle more power? Im lookin to run about 1000 rms each on whatever one i get.

    Badmouthing my setup

Ya I had some problems there too. I asked if they had a 200 amp fuse and they said that I had no reason for a 200 amp fuse and they then proceeded to try and sell me a 140 amp circuit breaker which would NOT have worked AT ALL.

    Audioque SDC2.5 12 vs. Sundwn SA-12

Nope, but these subs seem to be good for the money, and I kind of need subs that thrive in a small box as I have to fit them in my trunk. I would be open to any other suggestions though. Nothing more than 200$ shipped though. I do live in NC though.
  4. http://www.powerbastards.com/proddetail.asp?prod=8127-240&cat=2455 I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with powerbastards and I was also wondering weather or not they make decent alternators.
  5. oh yeah you still loolin for a 1000 watt amp still i goe a sundown SAE-1200d i could hook you up with.

I think I messed my sub up big time!

Alright man thanks for the help!!!!!
  8. So I run 2 Pioneer TS-W3002SPL's and now one sub has a horrible mechanical noise at low Hz Cycles and overall chopped and screwed music. I know i fucked it up but is there any specific reason why my sub is broken. They are 1000 RMS subs and I was running them at 300 RMS off a Sundown SAE-1200d at 2 Ohms so the only reason could be massive clipping. One of the subs is still fine though and I don't want to ruin that one as well. What happened and is there any way to fix what I did?

    Box Design Help!!!

Okay, so I got my 12' Pioneer subs a few weeks ago and I put them into an old box that I made for my other system a while back. After a few days of listening to music on my current setup, I noticed that my woofers were not hitting the lows AT ALL and I am a big fan of C&S Music so this was really disappointing for me. I ran all the parameters if the sub in bass box 6 and my recommended tuning frequency is like 21 Hz. Am I doing something wrong here? Also, Could anyone really help me out and just give me a quick rough draft of a suitable box design for this application. The specs on the sub are here http://www.pioneerusa.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/TS-W3002D2_InstructionManual1120.pdf. I would be running about 1500 rms to each sub.

    Box Design Help!!!

Alright man thanks for the help. My vehicle is a 1997 seville sedan. The max dimensions of the trunk would be 18' tall by 41' wide by 33' long. I would be running 2 of these subs. http://www.pioneerusa.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/TS-W3002D2_InstructionManual1120.pdf is the link that works.

    Need Help on Sub choice.

I just recently bought a Sundown Audio SAE-1200D, and I was going to buy a pair of JL 12w3v3-2 subwoofers and wire them in parallel to get an impedance of 1 Ohm. Now I have heard that the SAE-1200D is underrated and I was wondering what SVC 2 Ohm subwoofer could handle the full power of the amp. The main prolem of this whole thing is that I already paid the money for the box and if possible, I would like to use it. The box is a dual 12 inch ported enclosure with a shared chamber and one terminal cup for each subwoofer (If that even matters). Im also not looking to pay over 300 dollars for the pair of subs. (Which shouldn't be hard becuase the 12w3s that I was going to buy were 300 and we all know that JL audio is WAY overpriced.)
  14. Hey guys I just registered for this website and after reading the forum rules I found out that my first three posts are supposed to be in the "Newbie Sign In Area". Oops. Anyways, I was looking through the forum and I saw that there were many members from Mooresville. (Am I missing something? LOL) So... This is pretty much my official introduction post too.

    Need Help on Sub choice.

I think on the spec sheet the dcons were 300w rms and at 4 Ohms. I mean since they are sold on the SSA website they are underrated but the thing that turns me away from them it is the impedance. I would like to have the 2 subs that I am going to get wired at 1 ohm so I can get the max power out of my amp.

    Need Help on Sub choice.

Yea I know that I could do that but I really want to run the full power of that beast of an amp I have. Any other suggestions though?

    Need Help on Sub choice.

The Rated RMS of the amp is 1200 watts @ 12.8 Volts @ 1 Ohm. Also, many people I know claim that this amp is SEVERELY underrated and is capable of producing 1300+ watts RMS.
