Well this system is very basic and the upgrades are coming slowly. The hu is old but it works for now. The 4x6 plates are horrible and the MLI-65's are underway. The Hertz were okay and slammed pretty good especially with the new alt...but the BTL is much nicer. And the alt provides mucho voltage. Those are my first speaker boxes and carpet job ever. Two seperate boxes so it wasnt so heavy and awkward to do by myself. Had to do the round port with simple tuning to 33hz. I made them a touch too big but oh well. Still sounded ok to me. I wanted to cut out the back 4x6 grill on the panel and install some kind of speaker from the deck for cosmetics. The hifonics works for now but i cant wait to see the difference with the 4500d and some batts. So Ive been thinking about it and seems like it would be fun. I know nothing about running in comps and would like a little info on how. I know there is a ton of different classes to be in but I dont have a clue about them. Do they go by how much power you run, how many and how big your subs are, or if you have a wall or somethin? I always see these posts about going to shows and you guys make it sound fun. Id appreciate it if I could get a little rundown on what might be best for me with the stuff in my sig. Any info would be awesome. Thanks guys.

First off you will want to contact Scott or Nick and have them change it to a dual 2 ohm so it can be wired to 1 ohm. The dual 1 ohm will be wired at .5 ohm or 2 ohm so you wont get all the power from the amp that you want. You dont have to upgrade if you dont want to. You dont have to do anything you dont want to. But it would be a good idea if you want all the power you can get. The box depends on how its tuned. I dont remember if 2.7 is enough but a quick glance at ficaraudio.com will tell you the proper size. Everyone will tell you to ditch the cap and go with extra batts.

I definantly appreciate the update because I didnt watch a lick of College Football today at all, until now this Purdue and Nortre Dame game and cant catch the score of Texas's game on the bottom of ESPN because Im paying more attention to this forum. I think it was 64-7. I was watching that too but the Iowa and PennSt is looking better now.

Allright after a few amp adjustments I now have some serious (for me anyways) spl! The settings are: subsonic filter at 15hz which is all the way down; bass boast is all the way down; LPF is dead center between 35hz and 250hz; phase is at 1/4; gain is at a little under 3/4. Originally I had the LPF at about 1/4 turn and the subsonic at the same. The amp only gives the start and the end numbers on the settings so its hard to give an exact number on what my settings are. Do any of the settings I have now or before sound out of whack? Its definately hitting the higher notes like the 12's did and better now. Just sounds a little weird to me sometimes. I dont know if its my truck rattling to pieces or a weird sound from the sub.

If you have never heard of this before then listen up. Im probably a little late on this but oh well. Salvia is an herb that is sold at local head shops around the nation. it is black in color and looks like tobacco with a wet kind of feel. I believe it comes from Mexico in different strengths ranging from 5x-100x. It can be ingested, smoked, and who knows what else. It is known to produce a trance like state of mind kind of like the Indians used to do back in the day. Way back. It is completely legal in all states but luckily on the DEA watch list. I was duped into trying this on my trip to Arkansas about a week or so ago. This guy told me it was like acid but not nearly as long a trip. Just kind of mellow he says. Let me tell you this stuff is pucking crazy! Ive done my fair share of hard drugs, unfortunately, and this salvia puts them to bed hands down. And this shit is legal! Acid and shrooms have nothing on this. NOTHING. Those two things used to be fun. Salvia is not. I took one big hit and within 10-15 seconds, I thought my life was over. I had entered the most realistic, cartoon dreamworld I had ever experienced. I could no longer move as I thought all my limbs were blended into the surrounding tree and fence and my feet were in concrete blocks. The guy that gave it to me was standing in front of me and the whole time I couldnt help but think he was causing all this shit to happen in my head. I was very paranoid and trippin out to say the least. At probably the 1.5-2 min mark, I was starting to get a little scared. It felt and looked so real I thought I wasnt coming back. After about 3-4 min of this I started to come back to reality. Any longer than that and I would have no doubt lost my pucking mind. When I was fully back in my own mind I realized that I was drenched in sweat. I had sweated through my wifebeater, my shirt, and my collered buttonup. I would go to say my central nervous system took a beating. Why this is not illegal is beyond my understanding. IMO this should be classified in the same realm as pcp. Even though Ive never done it, Ive been told its pretty wacky. I can see people on this stuff getting way outta hand. Getting seriously hurt and/or killed. The strengths range from 5x-100x as I stated before. Mine was only 20x. Gimme my weed and get that shit outta here. Never in my life will I ever do that again.
