New personal best with one woofer =)

Two 4500D's on the "monster" with a 155.1 @ 53hz! Damn, thats pretty wicked dude. Congrats with the new mark. When are we going to see this mansta JJ?! I keep hearing about it every so often but I know nothing about it, besides that you throw some impressive power at it and it keeps on tickin.
  2. I'll have to look into those...the Ohio is like $450 but I know it's a great alt The Ohio is no sloutch either. I had been recommended Ohio gens many times but they were a little too pricey. I bought my Mechman Rhino series for $299 on sale but I imagine they all are around the $400 mark depending on your vehicle.

    400 watt amp @ 2 ohms

So have you decided on which amp you will be using and did you get this girl to change her mind on the sub as well? One of Jacobs 8's would be better than the Audiobahn.
  4. What is your budget for this new amp? If I have to pick from those three, it would be the US. If you dont mind other options, you should check out Sundown Audio. They are right here on this forum and make great amplifiers.

    extra battery

so like the hc16v? Are you running a 16 volt system with that battery? Kinetiks are great but what is your budget for another battery? Deka 9A31 is a great batt at a good price. I think the batt would be ok next to the box. Its not the box vibrating anyway. The driver makes everything else around the box vibrate.

  10. Cant speak for DC power, but have heard great things. Mechman, on the other hand, I can speak for and say it is very reliable and provides mucho power. A little too much for me lately!

    12" Fi BTL

i see nothing wrong with steve. i dont see why people hate him so much. but then i also dont see why people are on his nuts all the time. Hes the reason why I got back into car audio again. I seen his you tube videos and it got me itchin to bump. Now I dont want 8 18's and 30,000 watts, but it is impressive to look at. Especially when its done right. Ive even thought about looking him up to get a demo because I know hes around my area somewhere.

    I need a 15" sub

If you dont know everything then why are you arguing about how we dont get it? You came here looking for info and we dont understand what you want. Rriiigggghhht. Listen to the advice given and stop chocking that 15. Get a 12 in a new box and let it be that. Fi will outperform probably all the speakers at your school anyway. Dont worry about the size and what everybody else has. BTW...do you think these other kids are getting tips from people that know their shit about car audio, like you do here?

    12" Fi BTL

Are you serious? Cause you sound rediculous.

    Need some info!!

Budget is going to be a determining factor here to get a little further on what you might want. When you decide what budget you have...then you can pick a sub and figure what size the enclosure will be...then you can work the dimensions for the cutout...then order the correct size boot... Id like to see this one though as I wanted to do the same thing but in an ext cab 91. Went the easy route instead. Make sure you get pics of this build!

    12" Fi BTL

You can just as easily use one of those amps per sub. It would still give it plenty of power. Its going to be a lot easier and safer to wire that way as well.

    10" Fi Bl Box Problems

Guess and check can be a real pain in the ass, but that is usually what it takes. Ive used that calc to build both of my current boxes and they sound great so I hope its not that.

    Which clamp meter to get?

I like this one too but this is the max price I will go. Im not even sure if this one has the max and min memory feature. I kind of liked that. http://cgi.ebay.com/Fieldpiece-SC46-Clamp-On-Meter_W0QQitemZ360199044468QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item53dd893d74

    Sub Help

$200 is not enough for a proper sub setup. Save more money. Do you care about quality or just putting something in right now?
  23. Here are a few that are reputable. There is a lot more but just a few off the top of my head. http://www.dcpowerinc.com/ http://mechman.com/ http://www.ohiogen.com/ http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Iraggi-Alternator-and-Electronics__W0QQ_armrsZ1QQ_fsubZ0QQ_pgnZ6QQ_sasiZ1QQ_scZ1QQ_sopZ3
