    1x12'' SSA DCON ported box

The only thing I dont like about the RE box builder is that it doesnt factor the sub displacement. That will change the tuning slightly but wonder how much exactly.

have not yet dont really know how to get a hold of them figured this was the best place Email them. [email protected] [email protected] emailed them both thanks
  7. I surely hope so. If you are going to do it right the first time, you might as well buy something of higher quality. Cheapest is not always the best route.

which sub need your input plzzzzzzzz

The DRs are $320 a piece so thats $140 over the $500 budget to start. These 12" AQs would be right in your budget. Audioque HDC But I think I would choose 2 of the IXL12s if it were me.

  10. I remember people doing that back in the day. The lights would come on when the bass note hit. Its very possible, yes. Is this what you are looking for? Crutchfield musical interface

    which setup is better?

I think you need to reevaluate your plan to get what you want. You are comparing sealed boxes to ported boxes. If you know what you are looking for, you should at least be deciding between two similar things, right?
  12. You can use just one amp on all four of those. If they are dual 2ohms then you can wire all of them together for a 1ohm load. I had one of those amps on four twelves too. Is that the Tantrum? If so, that is a nice amp.

    my first box

try messing around with this. It can be quite useful but is not totally exact as it doesnt take the sub displacement into account. i have used it on the last two enclosures Ive made and they sound great. Just flip flop the numbers around until you get what you want. Its a good tool for beginning box building. RE enclosure calc Btw, welcome dude.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Had the blendtec had an on/off button and a push stick I would have bought it instead. The pumpkin soup I made last night would not have blended in a blendtec without too much liquid. The Vitamix hated it, but I kept slamming the stick down until it was smooth. Makes for an unbelievably silky texture. No cream in it at all, but it sure tastes like it. Contents of the soup: 5lbs chunked and roasted Pumpkin - tossed in olive oil 1lb roasted buttercup squash -- both deglazed with some Chardonnay 1/3lb pancetta - rendered to cook 2 onions 7-8 cups of ham stock (yay Easter ham ) 3 Bay leaves, some fresh Thyme 3/4cup of Orange juice 3 roasted carrots 3 shallots All blended super smooth. Funny to blend bacon. I serve it with creme fraiche, green onion tops, and some reduced balsamic. pucking yummy. I will add that I HATE peeling pumpkins. Looks very interesting and the ingredients are also very similar with the butternut squash soup. Printed it out so I can use this one day. Thanks!

    Ideas on somthing simple

What if I decided to go with the Hifonics Brutus 1210D vs the sundown for this 12"? I know if it was a FI-Q I would definitely use the sundown. But for the SSD, you think me shaving couple bucks will make a difference? Meaning buying the Hifonics over Sundown or not doing the big three to save jack? Im not sure which one you mean. If its a budget install then go with what is in it. Is it $200? No, Big 3 is a must in my mind. It was suggested that I should get the sundown amp. I did some research and also found the hifonics one. I was just curious if it would be okay to go with the hifonics or if i shouldn't. From what I have read, 90% of the time people prefer the sundown hands down, but there also pushing much more powerful systems. For a little more money you can buy the Sundown. Almost all Sundown amps rate their power at 12.8 volts versus a Hifonics which rates them at 14.4 volts. The customer service of Sundown is...well, look around. Its excellent. I prefer them no matter what power it is. You havent given a budget for this amplifier even though its been asked three seperate times now. All I know is $200 because that is what the Hifonics is. Just looking for most bang for my buck so to speak. I am just trying to keep something simple to getting more advanced or even overkill. No more than $250.0 roughly for the amp. Have you ever looked into something like this? http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQamps.htm I would recommend this although it is $30 over your budget.

Nice looking, but not babies. Spare ribs are a better deal anyway. Yes, babies they arent. They are so big they dont look like it huh? Now after eating them, I know to use a little less kick next time. But the honey does the trick to balance it out. Im so full! No literally not babies, those are spare ribs. The rib "tip" meat gives them away. The other "half" of the rib would be babies. Never understood why there was a price difference between them. And when I have slaughtered pigs I leave them together. 10" pork rib bones ftw! Well Costco is ripping me off and Im going blind too because the package said baby back ribs. And $30 for one package of three slabs, it better be baby backs! The main difference between baby backs and spares is that the baby backs have less meat. Allright, lets just clear this up right now. Ive added a pic to show you the actual length of the bone. Notice that the bone is only 4" long. Also there isnt a knuckle on either end like a sparerib would have. I cooked baby back ribs, not spare ribs. Not that there is anything wrong with spareribs...but a little too gristlely for me. These baby backs do have an abnormal amount of meat on them which would lead one to believe they arent.
