How do you figure that? Its simply taking away the passive crossover network and wiring the speakers straight to the amp. Then tune accordingly. Well wouldn't I need another amp? Yes you would. Have you looked into a used 125.2? Like this. SAX125.2 used I have a 125.2 already I know that. I meant buying another. If you have the money to buy more speakers, then why not an amp?

Yeah they were. Well Aaron should be happy at least. Hope Aaron is happy with tonights outcome as well. Go Ravens! Ya Aaron will be happy But my boy Mr. Rodgers and Greg Jennings will tack the Black birds down The ref's are REALLY helping them aim for your post. Dont forget about the lackluster offense too!!!

Thats a great deal if it sounds good to you. Ive never heard of them before but I also never heard of Fi at one point either.

Why are you selling brand new speakers to get the same thing again. Do the CDTs not come with a passive crossover? If not, why not active?

I thought it was better to get those done if anything. They seem like the most important ones to me. Thank you J. If only people knew how valuable these upgrades are to a system! I see a ton of posts where people would rather not do it, if they can get away with it. I think it really important especially if your stockers are pathetic like my geo is.

Doubling amp power
bigrank916 replied to Outbacksound's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Right. Many, many, many times over. While playing for long periods of time. This person should also reevaluate how they listen to their system as this is major user error. -
A great place to get them used is right here from the owner. SAZ1500D used An even cheaper option that will still work great would be this. Only problem is you have to wait for it. SAE1200D Ah sweet. Thanks. Is there a better amp that you would recommend? Do you mean cheaper? The amps I listed are of high quality. No, not necessarily. Sundown is the brand I mentioned from the beginning. I was asking if there is another besides Sundown you would personally prefer. Ive bought nothing but sundown since Ive found them. I have steered away from mainstream brands and has worked out well. Cant beat the price vs quality.

Much appreciated.

This helps a lot if that formula works in general. Thank you. -
Creating a New Box (Help Appreciated)

Dont let it bother you that much. Besides, hes married with children and I dont think he swings that way! -
It's tuned to about 35 Hz, I've been playing it for about the past 2 weeks at half power (4000 watts) for break in and it sounds pretty damn good for a $200 sub. I've already made one guy bail out gagging for air . I should begin the panels here shortly. I'll get some vids up soon. Is that half the power of 4k or half power being 4k watts? Just curious as those drivers are only 1k rms. Looks really good though. Those Memphis amps are long as hell!

Ive had the same problems on a steel ac stand. Just had to go through a couple different brands to see which one worked best. Nothing but diamond tipped to start for me.

That would have been much funnier! Especially going to checkout.

RMS wattage Calculation

Curious as to why they would ever think that some RMS calculation is possible. Hell even clamp meters aren't very accurate. Just something that was thought to be true. Personally, I had been told this by many audio shops as well as car audio boards. Multiply the total of the fuses on the amp by the voltage it receives and you will get a figure for the rms wattage. Nobody with any understanding has ever thought it to be true. One of those myths perpetuated through the ignorant masses. Ok. Glad to know this. How would you go about debunking this myth in a science method? Just curious. -
If he's serious about competing and getting better numbers, a termlab is a necessity. Not only that, but it's essentially the cheapest to own, and the most consistent. An audiocontrol will run you into the thousands. Not too many other choices out there besides that splmeter.com one, but I'm not even sure if those are still around or made. Not at all necessary to figure out the acoustic resonance of his car which is what the thread is titled. Very true. If he is avid in competition though, it might prove to be a useful purchase.

Doubling amp power

How would you kill the alt listening to the stereo with the car off? That doesnt make sense. The alt isnt even on. I would do the big three but do not replace any wires. Only add them and leave the stock ones in place. I would try and run the wire straight from the alt to the batt. I wouldnt be worried about decibles or hitting harder until you fix your problem. -
Have you bought the btl already ? You're sure it's what you want/need ? You could take a look at the xcons : they're more musical than the btl's. Never heard this before. Just curious to see how many think the same thing and why?

Can you describe it? I can't go on Youtube til i get home. My school blocked Photobucket....Ridiculous.... Thats it. Pure and simple. A guy walking through walmart with a 12 volt stereo on his back. Mids and sub playng.

Youve got to be kidding? Up der? Well, then hell has frozen over.

I would if sundown offered something that put out at least 150w+ in 2 channels. What are the pros and cons of bridging a 4 channel amp? I've heard it results in more noise and less efficiency? It does. The 50.4 bridged puts out 160rms x 2 channels at a 4 ohm load. Ive never heard of that when bridging an amplifier.

haha i know what u mean but if i walked outside right now and it was 70 degrees or something crazy i'd be astonished too Exactly!!!
