Remember the old adage, you get what you pay for. -
Read the comments below... If you bothered to, you would see that it doesnt say and the question was asked twice. The "rollin, rollin instrumental" is the only thing that has a name. I want the name of the song AND the ARTIST. Thanks for your help though guy.

I guess when it becomes too large and uncomfortable next to my leg. It also has to fit between the seat and the dash. I dont know an exact volume though. How would I go about figuring how much volume the pod will have when constructed? You calculate the volume based on the external size and material thickness. I thought you did that before building your boxes and chose a box size based on your pods. Changing the volume of the box could drastically affect the response which is why you went through the exercise... I chose the size roughly on what I thought would fit. It was only 1/4ft3 each so I think it wont be a big problem. Plus the 3/4 mdf takes up a lot of space that the fg wont. The fg shouldnt even be close to that thick, right? I didnt think it would be more than 1/4" thickness. What I meant was more of how to detemine the outside measurements on the abnormally sized enclosure. You know, its not just 12Wx8Hx8D because its not a perfect rectangle like my mock enclosure. Im not sure on how to calculate the pod when it has curves everywhere. How will I know when it is .25ft3?

Are you wanting the amp to be four ohms stereo at that power? Plenty of choices if you bridge an amp though. Do the speakers need that much? -

I wouldnt remove anything you dont have to while taking the nut off. He cannot fit 0 gauge on unless the red piece is removed.. and if you do remove it make sure the wire will not ground off on the alt Well if the terminal wont fit on there witht the red piece on, then...Question is, what the hell is the red piece for and can it be removed? Which brings me back here. It looks like the safety barrier for just that reason. Allthough you can always modify it yourself with something. Go easy. -
This one is well in your price range and waaaay better than that hifonics. SAZ1000D

Yes you can but touching the case with the power wire isnt good. The case should be grounded. Grounds and power are seperate. -

Big voltage problem
bigrank916 replied to bigrank916's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
lol Yes i figured that what was wrong in the first place ... wow 18 volts He said his oscope was the ish, turned it on, and gave it to me. Sure as hell looked nice to me. He must have put it on the wrong setting or something. But I dont know how you can mess that up...wierd. -
So I went to a local car audio shop today to see if I could use their DMM. I wanted to get voltage and amp readings to see what my amp was really doing. Of course, first thing he has to be a funny guy and ask me if i need new subs because I replaced the ones I bought from him with a BTL. He lets me use his occilloscope and I take my first reading with car off at batt. 15.5 VOLTS!!! Uh...Wtf? So then Im scared to even start the truck and see what it says then. 18.3 VOLTS!!! SHIT!!! Jumped in under the hood and turned the external voltage regulator set screw all the way down on the alt. This screw was never adjusted by me at all before, mind you. I installed the alt and left the voltage regulator as it was. The voltage looked normal on the dummy dash gauge before and after install so I thought it was at normal voltage or just a touch higher. Retesting resting voltage at batt. 15.5 volts. Started the truck. 16 VOLTS!!! WTF? Same at the amp. Checked dummy dash gauge and stinger voltmeter which both showed decrease in voltage. But they show about the same at idle which is 12.6-12.7. Which is exactly 2 volts less than before. Holy shit! I hope nothing got fnucked up! I havent been driving it much at all and I havent noticed anything unusual with the electrical system. Aw man, this is all bad. I went in looking to see what my amp would do and came out with this huge voltage problem! Is this voltage going to be ok now that it is all the way down? Its still at like 15.5-16 volts at idle and Im not sure if its too much still? What do you guys think? And why did my dummy gauge not show 18 volts after install? But on the other side I guess that amp can handle high voltage!

Ya, good point. Sucks dude. Looks like you might have to play the waiting game. But when you find her, you will be LOUD.

bigrank916 replied to bigrank916's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You still have a good electrical system, with only one battery ! It may be better with 2 or 3 agm batts; It seems that the best thing to do, after the big3, is to instal a HO alternator. I'd love to find one that fits my car/engine! Just one Deka 9A31 to top it off with the current setup. I dont really need it but it will come in handy in the future. Sucks you cant find one. What kind of ride and engine size do you have? -
They are discontinued I believe so they will be getting harder to find. Why not the 3500D instead? Jacob had a few of them used for $750.

Affordable 2000w amp?
bigrank916 replied to Dutchie.'s topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You can try one of these from Db-r and save a little coin. It doesnt mention whether it is old or new style heatsink. Since it doesnt say, then I assume its the new. SAZ2000D refurb -
