I wouldnt buy the crunch but the AP is a great budget buy. They are a good deal and seem to have a good reputation as well. This might work. AP15001D You dont have to use round ports if you dont want to. Try a slot port. Plug the numbers in on this calc and you can get a rough idea of what the enclosure will be. Its not perfect but it will get you close enough. RE calc

Excellent work dude. Thats a clean little El Camino too. Id love to see some videos of this. I thought about the kick idea for my truck but I didnt think it would fit with the e brake. How do you use the e brake now? Do you plan on running the cable to the floor to use it on a handle or something?

You could find a cheaper amp at 1k rms and match the driver. The specs note 2-4 ft3.

Dont know what class of Bass Race as I have never metered my truck before. Im going to email Doug with some questions and hopefully I can get a practice run or something to see what class I should be in. I figure to use some Jeezy as it seems to hit the hardest out of the music I have. Maybe Gucci Mane. Im excited for the show!

When I visit the Meca site it says that it will only be SQ, Install, and RTA. So...DbDrab will do the SPL at the event then? Im confused. I just want to get metered and have some fun seeing some bad ass rides in the meantime

If you get the accidental coverage for like $60, you can dip the alt in hydrochloric acid if you want to and he will still take it back. Its only a one time deal though. Good luck with whichever alt you purchase though.

Speaker wire got here sooner than expected so I got to work. Worked out great because it wasnt raining today either. Wired the driver door and put the panels back on. Couldnt get the tweeters to come on at all though. Flipped through the crossover settings and not a peep. The mids are working great although they needs some adjustment. I used butt connectors to attach the new wire to the speaker wire exiting from the pod and Im sure they havent come loose. They were very tight. Something is up but not quite sure what it is. No matter what I did, the tweeters would never make a sound. Pretty frustrating actually. I'll have to check it out in the daylight.

I wouldnt go any lower than 11 volts at any dip. Especially not if it stays there for extended periods of time. Amps dont like low voltage.
