What kinds of things helped you off the stuff? Lets give this guy some concrete goals or tasks he can achieve to move past his problem. Every addiction Ive had, has been overcome with mental strength. I wanted to quit for me but my daughter was always a driving force. It will never work if you want to change for the sake of others. You must be strong in your own mind to want change. The easiest way to tighten up your grip on life is to distance yourself from those people who arent in on your new plans and goals. Meaning, I quit hanging out with all the friends I ever had since grade school. It was a tight knit group but we were all headed in the WRONG direction. Not many were on board, so I got off. If I didnt, I would have subjected myself to failure because the temptation was too great.

The turn can come when you weigh how important you feel the drug of choice is to you in your life, versus the residual image that you envision. If it was me, I would put them both in a sealed enclosure and run the amp at .5 ohm. The amp will most likely make more power than the drivers can handle at .5 ohm but just watch the volume. Id be more worried about the drivers over 2k than the amp under 1 ohm. Just me though. Also the amp with good voltage will give you close you 2k at 1 ohm anyway. Either way you cut it, there is a little overhead. We all like that though, dont we?!

Im going to say the readings from the auto part store on your alternator were false. Those machines suck. Sometimes you can get an accurate reading, but the majority of the time they are off. I had them test my truck when I thought I had voltage problems, before and after I installed a new h/o alt. Niether one worked. Get yourself a DMM and test it yourself for the voltage. For the alternator, do a little math to see how many amps you can pull at one time versus what the stock alternator produces. Meaning with stereo at full tilt and all accessories on to create the largest load possible. This can tell you whether or not you should introduce more batteries or a h/o alt to beef up the system. But...if the serpentine belt is worn and has many cracks, you should replace this first. It could be affecting your alt and its a cheap replacement. Not to mention, good preventive maintenance.

You can run the positive wire from the batt straight to the amp. You can use the negative on the batt to the amp or another proper grounding location, whichever you prefer.

Ive never dealt with them personally but that seems like ludicrous business practices. To start a new business,great customer service is key to word of mouth advertising. I dont know how long theyve been around but it seems they have been doing this from the start. With that being said, how long will they last? If you cant take care of #1(you), then taking care of everything else just seems so much harder. It sounds like you need to take that time and figure out what makes you happy. What makes you happy and content to control your own life without material possessions. The ability to deal with adverse situations without reacting irrationally. This would also work very well. Bromo has a very good point. Most of the carpenters you will find have an abundance more woodworking experience than the shop installers might. Check craigslist or something for a good carpenter and you can go over the details of an enclosure specs when you get one. For people that dont want to/cant build an enclosure, this is a very good option.

It sounds like you should delve into the realm of making your own with all the complications you are encountering. Have you thought about purchasing a design from one of the guys here and building it yourself? If not, what about craigslist? Im sure there is someone around your area looking to make a buck.

Excellent fab work with the metal dude. It looks tits! This is how you fit all your shit in the trunk. Tight like a tiger! Id probably tack it down in the corners or something just to make sure it doesnt move. Unless this is for easy removal in the future, then what you suggested will be fine. Perfectly said Chop. Sweet tea might not be for everybody. Some like it strong and bitter, others might like it light and sweet. Its ok to have a different opinion.
