Use a PA horn. Mount it somewhere its least likely to reach water and blast away. We did this a few years back to a friends car. Could hear vocals and bass about a mile away. the pa speakers continued to blow after a while. two horns worked wonders.

I just came across a deal on one of these. i've read comments online about people having problems with them. Wanted to know if anyone has use this amp. Wanted to know if i should buy or pass. Your info will be greatly appreciated.

Im in love with it! its not even broken in yet and it sounds deeper than my two audiopipe 15's! And i forget who said it but its does sound louder and deeper than my two 15s. But the other ones are louder on the meter. Plus its two to one. The magnet on this thing is huge (plus its 54 pounds). Can't wait til the Jan. 30 to order another one. Rusty is awesome. It came exactly when he said it would. Great customer service. i'll try to post pics today. The files on my phone is too large.

I have a half din, in dash clarion eqs746, its not that expensive and it has two sets of inputs (main and aux) and three outputs ( Front,Rear, and Sub). Its has 7 bands (compared to most that i see with only 5 or 4) which gives u a lot of space to adjust your system after your head unit. I like it. How its set up, u would use one pair of rca's off of your head unit that is full range into the main or aux and run your front rear and sub from the eq to your amps. It comes in handy when u need to tweak something fast or turn the down the bass (or completely off) when u play a certain song without having to go through your radio. Just twist a knob.

if u wouldn't have mentioned it, i would have thought that the rainbow was a small sub.

i know jbl made amps that did the same thing with the constant power but i think it was for very high powered amps. i don't think they made any for mid/component set or any power around that range.

1600 watts rms but its not even in the right box. i threw it in a box i had and it sounded deeper than the 2 15s i had before. i only had 1100 watts rms going to each speaker and it seemed like i would hear more of the speaker moving than the bass at certain notes. With the xl, i hear pure bass and it hits harder.

What happens when u put a subwoofer made for a ported enclosure only, in a sealed box?

should i face my subs and port into the car or both to the rear. these are not the only two options but im looking for the best way to get the best sq for a daily driver.

but would it blow the sub with the correct rms? How would it blow up a sub, please explain this one. A box doesnt damage a sub, the user and how it controls it messes up equipment. i meant would it mess up the sub meaning since its not in the correct box because a sealed box usually holds in the pressure from the speaker moving. please dont get offended, just a question i always thought about. and im going with 2 dc audio lvl4 xl 15s.

I was going to say the same thing! If you have a Pioneer hu, you may have a groung problem with your rca's' I had the same problem! But the noise seems to go away after adding a new ground to EACH rca's of the hu. Good luck !

i was riding in my car on the highway the other day when my subs went completely off and i smelled something burnt. I stopped and the only thing i found was that the wire connecting sub to the amp came out of the amp and i think it touched the amp it self. The amp went into protection when it went off. my Highs gave me a whistling noise when it went off and would get low in volume. After i connected the wire back and shut the car back on. The subs came back on but doesnt sound as loud. And when i turn the volume up, i hear engine noise in my highs. Can somebody please help me figure out what happened and how to fix it. Thank U!

i watched one of the no boomer car videos and the guy said its a form of terrorism, my sound system has never raped, murdered, assassinated or bombed anything. I'm going to turn my car into the authorities (LOL). one of the other videos said car alarms sound be illegal too. I honestly want someone to notice or hear if my car is being broken into. U can hear a factory sound system from 25 ft. I guess im pissed on noise violation all together because i also own a motorcycle. Luckily, down here in miami Fl, they don't me (unless your on South Beach) but besides that, i guess im lucky!

yes its still connected, but its been connected way be fore this happened and never had a problem with the other sub or engine noise

i have a hifonics colossus xx version. its a 2 channel. 1100 x 2 a 2ohm 1600 x 2 a 1ohm 3200 x 1 a 2ohm bridged im only using one channel because i blew one of the subs. the subs are audipipe txx-ap15s. 1000 rms and 2000 max. its running on one channel at 2 ohms.

i have a clarion preamp that has an aux and a main input. My pioneer tv runs thru the main input and my ipod runs thru the aux. it has volume control and subwoofer volume as well. switches back and forth with the push of a button. i like it!
