I had this happen to me one time. Last time I went to a local shop. This place was called auto extras. Anywho. I asked this guy to build me a ported box tuned to 32 hz and this guy starts asking me what kind of subs I'm gonna run and what amps. So I told him a btl and he never heard of it so I showed him the website on my phone and all the btl's specs and he tell me the spl is too low! That it should be in the upper 90's! And based on that fact alone that the btls were garbage. And then he started suggesting a jl w6 to me... Oh and I when I asked him to build the ported enclosure he asked what kind of music I listen to and I said rap and hip hop n such and he said that sealed is better for that music. And if I listen to rock more then ported is the way to go. Now I've had two 12" type r's in a huge sealed box and I loved listening to rock in my car cause the bass sounded so good. I think this guy was just trying to sucker me in cause I'm only 17 arshole

rodneydude23 replied to rsanchezmt12's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Very loudd subs. Hope you have the power to back them up. Seeing as how you bought these without knowing what your electrical needs to be or anything. -
worth the $400?
rodneydude23 replied to doug118's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yes. Pioneers are very good head units and the display looks on that one... And it has 6 outputs which is good as well.. -

Fi BTL 18. what alternator?
rodneydude23 replied to Frostedflakejake's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
8 cubes in a trunk!? What kind of measurements? And that's 8 cubes after sub and port displacements right? -
I know a guy who hit a 145 off of two fully loaded 12 bl's and I know another guy who a 146 I think or more with a single 12 btl. So maybe 1 15" btl maybe louder depending on your box of course, I have a 15" btl and a box that leaks all over lol and a friend said I might be hitting around 142-145 range.. And it also takes up less space and is cheaper. And would go good with that amp of yours

If you buy in July it's 1100 after July it's 1200 and it's not expected to be ready till AROUND the end of July. I know some people who just got their saz 2000d last week and it was supposed to be done at the end of June.. My guess is you won't get it till mid November..

It depends on how much space you have...

That's how I felt the other day when I got my 15" btl in!

Try to find someone locally who will build a good box for you or order from pound that sound... It sounds like you don't have much experience with building port tuned boxes and a btl is a monster sub if you don't what your doing then you may fck shit up.

Yea my local dealer sells stinger 0 gauge at 7.75 a foot. Fck that lol

I know I have a car audio addiction when......
rodneydude23 replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in General Audio
When you order a backordered sub. That you wait a month and a half for.. But you buy some other subs because you can't go a month and a half with no bump.. -

yeah it changed to in transit on thursday.. Expected delivery on the 16th the rest of my shit comes in the day before.

Well considering how much you will be paying for your system.. You want a good alternator so your $2k+ setup will be able to reach full potential... You also should never cheap out on eletrical No power = no output

That last part is confusing. It's wire from pos of rear about 12" then fuse then amp -
x2 or mechman is a good choice

go with one 12, and have a custom box built that will fit your car, there are some people on this forum that will build you the best box money can buy and you will not be dissapointed. oh and dont ever buy a prefab box
