the last thread in there says 330 shipped for the 1kW and 250 shipped for the 500 watter, that's the max rating though, still a good price, not sure if i can get one now since i am going for a good receiver first.

    Need some help

Maybe look into an Adire Koda set as well, 349 shipped from www.acoustic-visions.com . Or you could do separates(like me I'm doing a RE XXX 6.5" and Vifa XT tweets). Active crossovers are usually a bit nicer.

Driver Pin-Ups: RL-p12 Black Annodized Cone

I think a small logo is a good advertising tool so go for it.

860 installed....this ones for you mike!

man, i was tempted to get the new pansonics but they lack the wide hz range crossovers i need for my system

Help me design a box for 12" Rl-P for HT

I'd probably tune lower for HT, maybe around 20-25 hz. 28 works well for the car, but you want to be able to hit the really low notes in a lot of movie scenes. But i don't know what's best for the woofer so it'd be best to let mike chime in on this one.
  8. Dang, do you have money to eat with how much you're spending?

    New Line from Directed?

yeah it doesn't look bad, just weird. I'm sure people will still buy it though and it probably looks better in person
  10. on my hu (alpine cda-9835) crossover setting LPF- 20hz to 200hz slope- flat, 6, 12, 18, 24 db/oct right now i have the slope set to flat. and the lpf set to 50hz. amp crossover (hifonics 1500d) lpf- 25hz-250hz i have the amp set to 50hz i believe. but with this configuration "i believe" by setting the deck's crossover slope to "flat" i am bypassing the hu crossover and using the amp. i am wondering how to bypass the amp's crossover. there is no switch to turn it on or off so i have to leave it adusted to a certain freq. any suggestions? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If there is no switch to turn off the crossover, just set it to the max, 250 hz then set your HU crossover.

    Holy chit

The people who bought it from woot actually get a warranty though unless the guys selling it offered it with the omnifi. I am getting mine installed as soon as i get my HU installed, just gotta figure out where i want it ...
  12. You don't have a ht reciever that could handle them? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have a crappy old Sony Receiver but i don't think it can handle a 4 ohm load.
  13. I drew out a little wiring diagram(yes i know it's crappy cause it's offa ms paint) for connecting RCA jacks off the HU for my planned system. In the front, the RE XXX woofer will be run off of a 2 channel amp and the tweets will be run off of two channels of the 4 channel amp. The rear midbass(Adire Koda 6.5) will be run off of the rear channel of the 4 channel amp. Crossover duty will be done by the HU(plan to get an Eclipse) and the 4 channel amp. Does that look right? or do i need something extra?
  14. doesn't work that way with no amp hooked up
  15. Man, they sent me the wrong speaker! They sent me a RE series component set. Oh well, now i hafta wait til the XXX ships over again. Maybe I'll take a few RE pix before they go bye-bye.
  16. Since the dash kit for my car hasn't come out, it might take a while... Hey ya plannin on going to Mardi Grass Nationals this weekend?
  17. The XXX 6 is actually a 2 ohm speaker so it'll get a lot more power than the tweeter. I currently have an Orion Xtreme 500.4 which does 62 x 4 so the Tweet will get 62 and the XXX will have 150 (It'll probably be a 75 x 2 @4 ohm amp maybe the zed audio one)
  18. I have the kodas already sitting around so i thought i'd throw em in. Plus i'd only use em when i have passengers or i feel up to adding some midbass into the mix. On a normal basis I'd just stick with running the front speakers.

    PORT TUNE and BOX SIZE

Usually, the lower the tuning, the better the SQ, since the"hump" in the frequency response is at a lower frequency. Since it is so much lower, you'll get that loud low bass which is great for home theater but not always the best in-car(to some people) since most music doesn't hit that low.
  20. to the mids? The pre-amp for the front channel(denoted by the "v" ends runs to the 2 channel amp and speaker wire(denoted by the rectangular hooks) is to the RE XXX mids. Then the line out goes to the front channel of the 4-channel amp which has speaker wires to the Vifa tweets. The rear channel of the 4 channel runs the koda mids.
  21. you got the omnifi as well huh? I woulda never bought that thing at close to retail but for the price at woot, well worth it and even includes the warranty

    HT driver's & resistance

Since it is in-home, wouldn't thd matter more? since there's no road noise to interfere with it ...

    Fav headunit

I just saw the new eclipses in the shop. They had every model except the 8 volt models which should be out in a month. The new eclipses look better in person than on the pics, and i personally think better than last year's models but still aren't the greatest eye candy. Plus they retail for lower than last year's model.
