i ran into problems with my wall in my 97 explorer, its walled behind the front seats, and if you look at your roof, the headliner dips down a few inches in each side, so its lower than the center part of the headliner. i didnt notice this, so we had a hard time getting the sides of the wall in. lol deff post pics when you start though, i want to see it

i only got the powerbass becuase i couldnt pass up the deal, which im sure no one would pass up this deal (400 for amp/batt) IF i sell it, ill be making money, and im only getting the 2500d if this guy locally trades me for some 16v batts i have...

well i talked to the guy i got it from (dirt cheap btw!) and he said that the issue with these amps was the big resistor inside would pop off the board, but that was on the 1st version they made, he said his is the 3rd, and its never given him a problem. i think im gonna keep it for now, well see how it goes. 400 cash local pickup for that batt and the amp, thats a damn good deal IMO.

i want to, if i can find the guy that wanted to trade me his 2500d for my turbostart batts...the powerbass is nice though too...ive heard people that have had no problems, but ive heard people that have, like my friend that had one...it broke 2 times...

i need a reciever thatll work with my behringer ep1500. my current one has no sub out, and the only one in the house that does is a HT reciever, and it sounds like ass. should i find a stereo reciever with a sub out, or a HT reciever? being that its for music, i should get a stereo one right?

Like a plate amp? Idk...I was gonna get a better amp, but I got this a while back brand new for 200 shipped, and I've heard for the money, its a decent amp.

this is the final diagram of how im going to build it. we moved in a few days ago so i was here long enough to move the couch around, etc, and take measurements. the blue is going to be the desk. on top of the desk im going to build shelves. i think its gonna look bad ass...my problem is, i cant make it until i get the boxes designed. should i put both in that corner next to the couch, or put one there, and the other sub on the other end of the desk, by the closet door?

could u guide me towards one to buy? how much are they? and how do i hook it up with that, the reciever, and the amp? also, on the recievers EQ, it has like 6 bands...do i adjust the bass from that, or just turn the gains on the amp to where i need them? i still need the xover as well for the sub amp...i hooked it up last night to a HT reciever, didnt get that loud, but the lights were shaking, and this was on a 10" type x in a prefab ported box lol

alright. ive got the dimensions. i have 2 options of building this. its kind of going to be trial and error until i find the right height i want the desk to be, but here it goes. the box needs to be 4.5 cubes each (2 seperate boxes) and tuning...im guessing like 20ish or 24hz or something? 95% of the time its for rap music. once in a blue moon i may watch a movie on it. but for the most part, i want it to sound best on rap music. the dimensions im working with are 39" x 37" (width and length) using those 2 dimensions, i need to see how high it will be to make 4.5 cubes after determining the tuning and port length, etc. if i like the height, ill build the box using that width and height. can anyone help me? the sub will be down firing, as far as the port, i dont know if i should down fire that, or what.... ive already got the crossoeers and everything made...i dont wanna change now.. lol plus i have all the drivers and the wood for the towers, i just havent built them yet.

ok heres the deal...im gonna order my 2 mj-18s whenever, its not on the top of my list right now, as i dont have a reciever yet, or crossover for the sub amp, etc...but i need the box built so when i get the subs, ill just drop them in. however, ive got some idea's, and id like your input on them. ive been told to do about 4.5 cubes per mj-18, tuned to 30hz. so im just gonna make a 9cu ft box tuned to 30hz (unless you guys suggest something different) and what i want to do, since space is limited, i want this to be the bottom of my desk. meaning the subs will be down firing (possibly the port too, if not, i dont care if the port is showing) and on top, what im gonna do is build a shelf to make it look like a desk, and then stain it all (gonna use Birch) to match the other furniture. i WAS thinkin something along the lines of this, but since its gonna be a desk, my laptop will be on it (gotta do something about the vibrations lol) so i want somewhere to put my feet, like a normal desk. so i think i like this better, i dont know if this would work, or if i can somehow build the 9cu ft box as one, but have a notch in it for my feet. or two 4.5 cu ft boxes, one on each side (as in the pic) then a piece or birch on top for the desk top piece, then from there, ill build the shelf. what do you guys think? this is for my new room, and instead of my dad getting me a desk, i figure i could possibly combine the box + desk as one, and no one would even know its a sub box has anyone ever done this before? ps- sub box is for music, not HT or movies. ill have 2 towers, each with 2 7s, 2 5 1/4s, and 1 tweet. then the 2 18s in a seperate box.

im using Dayton aluminum 7's and 5.25's and vifa tweets. dont know what reciever yet.

i dont want plexi ...i want it all birch to match.
