made a thread a while back on this, i never got around to taking pics after i hung the tv. i gotta get back up the attic and shim up the left side of the tv, becuase the trusses arent perfectly level in the attic. either way, its really the only way i could have mounted it, and its a nice viewing position from my bed. had i used a normal wall mount and put it on the wall, it wouldnt be angled towards my bed any. anyways, heres the pics. the tv speakers are removable, and will be removed, once i get a 2.1 setup to replace it with. had to put it on SSA before the pic haha this is laying in my bed questions- should i buy a simple 2.1 setup, or should i make a DIY setup from PE or somewhere? i have an old Aiwa reciever and an old Sanyo that i loved, but it finally broke (from the 80s before i was born) i can use the Aiwa for now, so i can buy the speakers/crossovers/etc first, then after that ill choose a nicer reciever, unless we find one for cheap. i prefer to find a reciever with a sleep option (i dont even know if they have those) like my tv (put it on sleep so its not on all night) next are placement of speakers. where should i mount them? under the tv? ill stop here, and see what we come up with. ps - budget..not really sure yet, but not TOO much...i dont need A+ top notch speakers, etc....i dont watch movies a lot, mostly just tv shows. so nothing top notch is necessary.

what is ZaphAudio?
-
i dont. i usually just have my pc/laptop hooked through the input of my current reciever, or my ipod hooked to it, and listen to music that way. really dont have room for any towers or anything, im thinking something more along the lines of something stealthy and mounted on the wall under the tv some how?

when is the "new" sundown 100.2 coming out?

nice. -
thanks. i painted black over the port, it looks OK....not sure if im liking the flat that i used, i have a can of gloss i might shoot a little area with gloss black and see how it looks... i sort of like the gloss anyways becuase it looks "wet" since its got the gloss to it. the flat sort of looks cheap now that i painted over the texture.

like i said im not looking to spend like 100 PER speaker here...but not looking to spend 5$ per speaker either...not anything cheap, but i dont need top of the line...throw out some suggestions so i can see what a setup is going to run, then we can go from there

i want to run 2 sundown 3k's for my 2 MTs in the MINI, which means i'd need matching mids/highs amps...and no matter how i look at it, i can wire (8) 8ohm mids to a 100.2. if it was bridgeable to 2 ohms, it would be PERFECT. -
i dont really...i just got an xbox 360 recently...never been real big on video games, and i only watch tv at night when i go to bed. if u set the resolution right, you can see if decently from my bed.

i believe so. i think he said it was similar to the 100.2 but with a better power supply or something, and it would do a little more power. -
once this drys, i will put a few coats of flat black over it, so itll look somewhat like this (couldnt get a good pic)
-
100.2 100 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms 200 x 2 watts @ 2 ohms 400 x 1 watts @ 4 ohms bridged 100.4 100 x 4 watts @ 4 ohms 160 x 4 watts @ 2 ohms 320 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms bridged how much power do both of these amps usually put out, at each of those loads (4 ohms, 2 ohms, and 4 ohms bridged) i got a new job, and i think i want to run 2 sundown 3k's in the MINI, rather than the crunch GP3000D's.....reason i was going for the crunchs is becuase they're cheap. but now that ill be able to afford the sundowns, and hopefully get a deal if i buy it all at once , i can run these.

i might wait until the new 100.2 comes out as well. i need the most power possible. but im pretty set on running your amps i start my new job on the 14th. -
carpet was really clean under there lol im redoing the entire carpet though to black random pieces painted all pieces in the house so they dont get messed up til i finish it all

dyed some more things today. wanted to cover these in suede, but it came down to buying $27/yard suede, and having my upholstery guy cover them (lots of stiching, due to the shape) vs. a can of dye for $9, so i dyed them. the piece next to it is primered (even with the primer it looked like it did before i primed it anyways) the flash makes it look shinier than it really is painted.

i really wanna run IA but i want matching amps...i thought they made one before...any plans on making one?
-
kicker 1/0, and kicker 4awg wire FTW the blue is getting swapped for matching black/gray. he gave me blue on accident. went from these gaps on the sides to this trim panel will cover all this. had to cut it like this to get it past the B pilliars, unfortunately sub is hella close to the top of the port.

baffle = on for good. braced it, and the port. the 2x4 really helped the bottom of the port. and the gaps that need to be sealed up with wood first, then glassed over. and the pics you all have been waiting for
