which way should i go. i have 16 mids for the MINI. all 8 ohm. 8 per door. they will be wired in pairs of 4, in parallel, making each set of 4 mids a 2 ohm load. so its either 2 100.2s, with 8 mids per amp (basically 1 amp per door) running each channel at 2 ohms or 1 100.4, running 4 mids per channel, at 2 ohms. the 100.2 is rated 200 x 2 @ 2 ohms the 100.4 is rated 160 x 2 @ 2 ohms i know the 100.2 is supposedly a little more underrated than the 100.4 is, but i found a good deal (IMO) on 2 100.2s, bnib for 370 shipped. what do you guys think?

heres pics of the amps im buying today

yea now that i think about it, since i cant fit the 100.4s behind my seats like the 100.2s will be, that means ill have 2 100.4s in the back, along with 2 3000ds. the 3000s take up 75% of the room, plus batteries, so no way im fitting more than 1 100.4 behind the wall. 100.2s it is.
-
also a 100.4 wont fit behind my seats there. they are 16.5" long i believe, and the new pre order 100.4s are going to be 1.5" longer on top of that. i only have about 16.5" TOTAL width, and the 100.2s are 13.375" long.

really i dont, but i decided to put the 2 100.2s right here

the holes line up pretty good. some are off by like barely 1/16", nothing you will ever be able to see when comparing both doors couldnt get these 3 with the drill press (wouldnt reach to the center of the circle) so i had to jigsaw them out. got circles? this did all the hard work (cutting the circles) thanks again robin

since i cant decide how i want the amp rack, i started working a little on the door panels. they arent going to be hard at all to make, since its just a flat panel, not 16 individual rings (i wanted a flat panel) cut the hole for the door handle. lol @ me in the relfection cut out the passenger one oh chit...

these 2 statements totally contradict each other sorry, not thinking at full capacity, probably benching about 3 iq. didn't sleep last night, med problems. i am gonna get a cadence amp, 3200w, unless anyone thinks i should fork over the green for a 3kd? i just picked up a brand new 2008 model sundown 3000d for 625 picked up....love it and great price. the amp is a BEAST. heres an idea. get a 1500d and run that, then u can get another and strap them if you feel you need the extra power.

i know, lol

other side is cut out didnt feel like changing the bit on the router freebie (router table) $25 for this absolute worst piece of birch ive ever bought. same type and everything, wasent like this when i bought it, and it didnt get wet, but i guess just sitting in the garage (although the others didnt do this) it got messed up. oh well i still used it. just had alot of voids in it, but its just for a trim panel anyways. horrible

just gonna keep the stock alt. im gonna get 2-3 of the biggest batts i can, and upgrade the wire from the stock alt to the batts with a few runs of 1/0. reason for keeping stock alt: 1. very expensive to make one for my car, and its not going to be that much output anyways, just becuase of my car, they can make only like 180a ones.....for like upwards of 600$................. 2. even if i got a 300a alt, all my amps are still gonna draw more than 300a reguardless. why waste the money on one? unless they make like a 700-900a alt, theres no point. all its helping is charge the batts faster, and in reality, since the most i can get is a 180a alt on my car, its not worth 600+ dollars to gain 75amps more (stock is 105A) so, in my mind, unless you do like steve meade and run 4 alts and it adds up to the amperage that your amps are drawing, then its not worth it IMO. i mean sure itll help, but its not gonna make you NOT have current draw. its gonna happen, stock alt or HO alt, either way.
