hey make sure when you get these horns all set up you post a good review b/c i might have to buy a set eh! and also include how you set them either if you use a dmm or if you use a oscope or just by the good ol ear! and make a video if you get time!!
-
yes if i understand the question. but mabye if the power supply in the 125.2 is regulated then no. so this would be more of a personal question to jacob lol!
-
http://www.sengpielaudio.com/calculator-ohm.htm so if you have resistance and wattage (power) it is the square root of WxR √((PxR)) and ^0.5 is also the same thing as the square root!!
-
so how much does pending cost? 150-200 lol!!
-
I guess you missed it! lol! "There is NO ETA YET... price is also pending." last line of the first post by Jacob!
-
So you made a new 100.4 but a cheaper one? What feature will be missing if any? i know the sax100.4 has a lot of settings and this sae100.4 looks to be simpler and more compact and i love the new terminals for the speakers!!! Nice amp keep'em coming! (Do you have any stock options?)

Small battery charger
CrazyKenKid replied to SpeakerBoy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
umm i just had the batteries in parrel with each other so i contact the company and they told me how to put it into 2amp charging mode with no auto off! but that is all i knwo. so for multi batteries just do one at a time lol! but since you have a smaller battery! and jsut one of them! -
okay never mind then! it was just an idea i was playing around with and my idea was similar to what socialstealth was getting at. but M5 has set me striaght! thanks for your input guys and thanks for saving me $30+!! Kenneth and i did contact the seller before hand to ask if it was shunt or a donut style and this is a donut (ring) style so you put the wire though the ring and it measure it similar to how a clamp meter works i guess

so i am looking into one of these for my next build. my idea is to have this installed so when i am bumping i can see how much rms is going to my subs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350286314830&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT i think this would be pretty cool to have as i could monitor how much rms the subs are getting and if the amps start to clip i will see it on the clamp meter. well i think i will see something but i could be wrong. so i would like some input: 1. would this we a useful tool 2. would you use one 3. yes i know this wouldn't tell me rms it would only tell me current but current multiply by the voltage i get wattage! my next build is going to be 2-15'inch subs (NS) and 2-saz2000, with 2 nsb90's and a 200amp alt along with the big3 and what not. if you need any more information please let me know. thanks for your input! Kenneth

Small battery charger
CrazyKenKid replied to SpeakerBoy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
i don't have a pic on me of it and my camera is in windsor lol. let me see after i am done school i will grab my aunts camera and snap a picture of it and post it up. the only thing i noticed about it is when charging more then one battery at once it will act up and not charge both of them and jsut 100% so you would have to charge one at a time and i got some more info to charge multi batteries at once in my inbox. -
RMS wattage Calculation
CrazyKenKid replied to SpeakerBoy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
i thought it was fuses times 12! so 15x12= 180rms but that is how you do it for a class d amp i don't know about a/b or rather a 4-channel amp. -
Small battery charger
CrazyKenKid replied to SpeakerBoy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
it has 2amps, 8amps and 12amps. and it is one of those smart one where it charges at a 13.4volt (so it has some regulator on it) and when your battery is full it turns off!! -
Which DMM are you using...
CrazyKenKid replied to AccordSiR87's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I have a fluke 115 and one of these acting as my clamp meter! they work great together!! i like to use a fluke b/c it has a auto range feature! and they don't cost that much on ebay! loL! fluke meter i won http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110459641867&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT and clamp attachment i also won! http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280425266388&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT this is a great combo for me and with fluke you CAN"T go wrong!! I started using a fluke in college and i loved them ever since! -

How to run comps and coax?
CrazyKenKid replied to JusR's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
but ya the best way to run comps and a pair of rear speaker is to use a 4channel amp that can output 100 or 150rms x4channel at 4ohm! the 100.4 would be a great choose! as for giving the comps 150 and the rears 100rms just simply turn down the gain! -

and the sundown 100.4 does rated power. hands down! -

Hey welcome to the forum! where a lot of knowledgeable ppl share idea's! now you currently own a 4channel amp or no? and how are you running your front and rear speakres? off of the h/u -
make sense!! thanks!
-
Got ya! Expensive is the sundown way lol!! But i still wonder how much better a NS would be with a neo magnet!! Similar to that IA subs. (will wonders never cease!)
-
question what about a neo magnets? have you any ideas on using those magenets? or no and why? (expensive)
-
so can i gather, for a daily driver, from 1ohm or 4ohm in an SQ application ppl aren't going to notice the diffference. and even in a SQ competition the difference 1ohm or 4ohm makes isn't that huge of a difference over all? is that a good generalization? and about that other forum site, i am on there also but i don't care for the crowed of ppl, but lets not try to bash them b/c there are SOME ppl who are nice and knowledable.

New PG amplifiers
CrazyKenKid replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
nice looking amp!! i am glad to see they are returning! -
so your question is if i can rephase it is: does 1ohm vs say 2 or 4ohm effect SQ potenial, or is 1ohm load and lower reserved for spl rather then a sq setup? is that what you are asking or did i miss something.

i am subscribed!! bring on the pics!!
