Nightshade v.2 -- New Personal best score !

I had been running 12-volts for a while since I took the 16v out last time... basically seeing what I could do on 12v. Now that I feel like I maxed that out I went back to 16v. 16v ftw ;p!

    amp for highs

nice video man! question though what was the first song playing in the first few secs of the video? correct. Im using the Eclipse Ea4200 which is rated at 60watts rms by 4channels my speakers in the front are Kicker Ks 602(75rms) Components and the Rear are Kicker Ks502(65rms) Components and sounds very clear. Since i brought that amp in March i got if for just under 200 now its going for just over 100 new on ebay would my highs be able to keep up with my setup?is 2 ssa icon 12's on a audioque 1200 so 1200 watts rms. thats a good question the bass would most likely drown out your highs but it depends on your eq settings I know when i have my 15inch kicker cvx it drowns out the words but with this Re Audio Sx 10 i have it doesnt but its all on the system settings. heres an example of my system.

    AMP

i think the first thing i would do i had to do it all over again would be: 1. car electrical ---big 3 in either 1/0 or 4/0 2. set my goal (daily or comp) 3. look for a sub which met goal number 2 4. get an amp to match goal 3, if not doulbe the power for future application 5. pick a battery (or batteries) to suit everything 6. sub box design 7. get advice! something along those lines! also find out how mcuh space you have to work with. like if i have a 7cubic truck you can fit like 2-15's inchs for example or if i own a hatchback or watever!

Had a car audio shop tell me JL amps were better than sundown

remember also shops will try to push a certain product on you so they can reach their quota! like sundown is an internet kind a deal and if they tell you sundown is better they benefit nothing! but if they tell you jl is better and they SELL you jl product then guess what they get a cut of that money! remember the main goal of any establishment is to make money/ profit! if you can't, well you know what happens! but like jay-cee said it is based on your preferance, buget, and goals!

OH SHAT SUNDOWNS DOIN IT AGAIN

looks good/awesome! keep up the work!
  21. LOOKS AWESOME!!! keep up the good work man! very clean! i like!
  22. wow that is really strange! Questions have you ever hooked up the speaker via wire rather then use the rca's and an amp? i know it sounds odd to do but if the noise is coming from the h/u or engine it would still be there if you run the wires. so what i am getting at is just hook the speaker up to the h/u as a quick test to see if it is still there. Also is there a way to turn off/on the internal amp on the h/u when not in use or in use. I know on my h/u I can turn off the internal amp (in the h/u) and odd-ly enough it does sound a bit better. but I don't know about this case as it is clearly not a simple fix,... have you tried praying to God yet? lol (no offense intended)

    Stock electrical

I have ran 2krms off of a stock battery and stock alt. BUT i also upgraded to 2-batcap 2000's in the trunk to help me out! so stock alt, battery plus 2 batcap 2000's to run my SAZ2000 with minimum issue at all! my alt was pushing 5-6years so i ended up not chancing it and i just replaced with an upgraded stock alt (200amp alt) and my cars original battery nearly 7years old i also just replaced that b/c i would hate for it to die and my batcap2000's being the new and only batteries in the car. Other then that just bump responsibly and get a volt meter!! p/s i also did the big3 it helps out a LOT
  24. sorry you said it is not the h/u? did you swap h/u to make sure of it? sorry if you already answered this. I know i had the SAME issue with my car for 2years straight and i did everyhtin you did to the T and the noise was still there and very annying. i changed rca's grounds i used groud loop isolators i did everything the works and nothing worked. i got all the noise you had when the fan was on when the engine was on when i was speeding and everything. then i purchased a bnib h/u and BAM all gone and never retured (knock on wood) and i didn't change a single thing jsut JUST the h/u. but i don't know about your b/c it sounds 100% like my issue back in the day of my PIONEER H/U!!!

    Sundown Amp Settings

so are you going to run active or passive? like ku40 said which dials do you need help with? leave your bass boost and subsonics on off if that helps, and the gain you set via ear then turn it a little lower just to be safe.
