  8. O you should be all set to go I will be running my 5k off of 200ah and 220alt keep in mind I will need more ah as that setup was supporting my previous 4k setup with no issue at all
  9. So did those links help you at all to better understand how much ah you will need? If so how much do you need another way to calc ah is take the sum of the required fusing and divide by 2 so if I have Single amp that has a 200 amp fusing my required ah is 100 for example but if you play with car on then that number will decrease so that way isn't the best but it gives you a ball park figure of what you are shooting for
  10. Lol spelling fail for me lol sorry man but yes i do not include my starting battery in my calc. Why just because I assume the starting battery is all used and setup for the cars daily day to day usage and at least in my case that battery is really small and you wouldn't want to run anything off of it but instead just get a bank that can support your car audio needs

I sold my SAZ 2000 to icy_chris a few weeks back! he is very fast at payments and he helps out to make this a smooth transaction! He is an asset to the market place and he knows what he wants and is a straight forward guy! I was glad to sell to him and I am looking forward to his build(s)!! Kenneth
  13. if it is your starting battery i next include it in my calcs lol! i just say what i need 100ah min well i will get battery(ies) to back that up. here are some video tutorials i used when figuring out required ah of my system (5krms setup) for starter i am sure you have done the big 3 already but here you go just incase as for ah calc check out this video and tell me what you think of it! also here is a cool alt one i found
  14. normally what i do is set the gains via dmm first using a 50hz tone (for sub amps that is) and then plug in my remote GAIN knob and i use my noise and hearing to listen/smell for distortion or bottoming out or clipping as best as i can and turn it down respectively. keep in mind if you have a bad recording of your song aka 120 or less bit rate the song will sound funny. as for setting your speak amp(s) i don't use anything i just use the volume knob and turn the gains to about half way and adjust the gains as required over the next couple of days till i find a spot a like. since all mp3 aren't recorded equally(unless you rip them yourself the same ever time or normalize all your music) some songs will sound a lot different then others just remember key thing is don't pound your system until you know it can handle it and until you are comfortable with it. and remember keep adjusting those gains and use your ears to hear for stress in your speakers. also my way isn't the best but it is the way i use and it works good for me! everyone has there own little tricks to doing things and i am sure other ppl will chime in with there!
