Do you use a remote knob?
CrazyKenKid replied to mrbojang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I use mine all the time It helps Out because I like a wide variety of music -
You do know 1ohm strapped - 0.5 ohm per amp right and you also void warrenty Anyways what you need is a nice h/o alt at lest 200ah and the big 3 power upgrade and even then you may need more you don't know till you get it all in and test it out

isn't your 2150 right now to your amp? and why didn't you ground directly to the battery since it is so close?

So school is finally over, the weather is finally starting to turn around and everything is looking good for a new build! So to start things off here is the box I will be building the over all sizes are 30x36x17.5, this box is a master piece of shizzzon designs! (look him if you need help with a weird install in a small spot!) he cubics before displacement are like 7~ and after 6.5~ and tuning is 40hz (may change in the future) Now here is my old box and as we can see the mdf soaked up the water like a sponge lol! so needless to say i had a leak issue also if you are interested here is a link to my old build. Onto the bad parts in the trunk, also not shown the tail lights were leaking BAD and i had to reseal those puppies fast with a sealing agent! Next item to talk about is the equipment which will be going in! I also deaded my trunk and installed a false floor! take a look In this build I will be using 4 fans to help keep the sub amps cool as they will be hidden under the sub box, as I have taken out the spare tire and the thing holding the spare tire in the well. other then that my last build was 144db's on 1-saz2000 this new build will be double the power and double the cone area! and maybe i will upgrade to a pair of saz2500 but we will see on that as nothing is set in stone. Tomorrow (Monday may 10th) I hope to have the box finalized as in all pieces cut and nearly 100% done and sub holes will be cut out some time this week also. I have also started my new job on Monday and I will be working 10-11/day so this build could be a while in the making lol! keep in mind this is about 1-2days worth of work I don't work very fast i take my time and do it right and enjoy some beers! also any idea will be cool and anything you want to ask go for it! Other then that this build is completely done using birch 3/4! it is very very nice stuff to use and very easy to work with! Cheer's Kenneth (time for Chinese, msg pumped food)

that is why i am disappointed lol! i blame it on my box! o well better to find out now then at a show i guess!
-
update time!! so here is what i have found out! A) grand-ams and db's don't mix well B) my peak is at about 41-42hz C) I was able to get a 146.98 on a burp (i didn't break 147 but i came really close), not what i was hoping for D) my gains still aren't set a 100% correctly (i will figure it out one time ;0 ) E) my box flexes like a mother F) time for a new box! (6th order will be the next one to go in)

very cool you do nice work!! but why did you choose to go with fuse breakers? i know both sides of the argument but why did you choose them?
-
you might need a longer screw for those amps.. LMAO jk! but that looks awesome and extremely strong!!

battery help plz
CrazyKenKid replied to chargeron4s's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
do it! or i will! lol (if you don't buy it send me the link and i willl) -
the more batteries you can fit the better! if you can fit a 1400 and 2-2000 go for it!
-
now that is awesome!!!
-
common sir even with the cap lol!! but for sure sir is right you should keep a close eye on the voltage getting to the amp by using a simple volt meter like this one and if it drops below 12 turn it down lol and get more batteries to help it out! even with my 2-batteries and h/o alt and big 3 and runs of 1/0 wiring i still run into a minor voltage issue with extended play time
-
lol sounds a lot like my build! although i got another big ass battery rather then a volt meter (cap l;) )
-

-
the answer is no just set it on master and call it a day (i also own 2 saz2500)
