HAHAHA.. I sure hope you didn't make that batt quantity choice because you bought into all that paranoia, overkill bullcrap for daily driving, hehe. Yea, you could have drove ur car back n forth to work a couple days straight without alternator before needing a recharge on the batts. (I've had to do this before for 3 weeks.. I'm good at knowing what my car can handle without an alt, lol) LOL no no i only used all 4 because i got a HELLA good deal on all 4 lol they were used but still a good deal! they were very small and very effective and ideal for the future setup! plus it looked cool and i planned to use all 4 for when i got my 2-saz2000 but i ended up getting the nsb and 2-saz2500 and made money off of the batcaps a fair amount off of them to lol.

you mean C&D batteries? also what does UPS stand for... pardon my noob-ness the only think i can think that ups stands for right now is united postal service lol

got ya! thanks for the reply and yes i used to run batcap! good times! very cool burp batteries! i was running 4 batcap2000's! it was pretty solid setup for my 1 saz2000 lol! as for my nsb I think i will look into selling them and maybe getting xs or batcap again. as you say they weren't meant for this type of application.. the guy who sold them to me (Canadian guy) told me he sells them all the time to car audio people and he said he would honor a warranty on them if i needed... but you do bring up a good point maybe i should just flip them and get something a little bit more geared towards car audio! thanks again your help is always appreciated!

hey shizzzon a little off topic but are NSB batteries in the same category as the C&D batteries? (ups) i think yes b/c i don't notice those specs you mentioned above http://www.battery-usa.com/Catalog/NSB90.pdf although it does say this "Specifically designed for abusive applications. Excels at high rate discharge and recharge, extreme temperature range, deep or shallow cyclic applications" and from my own experience ( i have 2 of them) i have them running 2-2500 and the most drop in voltage i have seen is 12.1 at full tilt but then they shoot right back up...

ya didn't think about that as in removing the box from the car... fiber glass you say sounds like a lot of fun although on the other hand this car has 360,000km about 224,000miles on it so it is getting ready to die... i don't know fiber glass sounds a bit better now. Hey guys so I have just finished the new build as some of you have seen in the sundown section and the last step i want to do is to seal off the trunk to from the cabin. A buddy of mine said to use expanding foam! Notice in the pic under neath at the top of the sub box there is a 2.5inch gap I want to fill up and about 1-2inch on each side of the box I want to put expanding foam in. now my questions are 1. how many cans will i need 2. is there a specific name to look for or is it all the same 3. how do i do it? just point and shoot? 4. what tips can you recommend 5. how do I remove expanding foam? 6. is there an alternative to expanding foam something that works better? 7. any other tips or help would be awesome! thanks to any and all who help!

..how do I do that? take out the old one and pop in a new one? but I think I will try the tape and glue idea first and if that goes bad then i will give this a try!

awesome customer service SSA also OP the 60$ you paid did it say for 2 or 1 sub? if it said 1 sub then yes you will pay another 60$~ and if it says for 2 subs then expect to pay 30~ but if it gets sent via CP (Canada post or USPS in america) these charge will go down!! and hey if you paid for 2 subs on your customs papers and you one got 1 you YOU can bitch to them! call the number listed and see if you can do anything. tell them what is up and what SSA is doing to help you and maybe you can get them to find out what happened and they can help SSA? long shot but still worth it. it is worth a shot since SSA is helping you out you can try something also! I know I would!

I just sent and e-mail to Jacob to see what he recommends. if he thinks a repair is do able I will give his suggestion a try if not well sign me up for another recone lol. then again this is the second issue I have had with this sub last time i had to use some of that glue to glue the surround back down.

ya I was leaning towards a recone but i wasn't 100% sure I was actually going to try a bike tire repair on it! lol

it does look like that but i know i would never do that... I wonder how this even started actually I think I know there USED to be some expanding foam on that part and i got it all off but i guess it took some extra black stuff with it and over time... so ya back to this issue.. is this fixable?

Well all done! and let me say it sure sounds damn loud even at 50% volume! take a look at the install pics! this install isn't 100% done yet I still need to add some expanding foam to seal off the trunk from the cabin. the worst part of this box is how much it weighs lol! I had to use my jack to get it into the car and even then muscles were used a lot lol! o well at least it slid in no issues let me know what you think! but to every success there was a failure! let me know what I can do about this because I don't. also how would this even happen in the first place? could the temperature have done this? or to much power? ( i have 2-2500 on it strapped) the sub damaged sub above was the last sub in my car it is a 15inch NS v1 d2.

I say go with a single 15 in a 4cubic something ported enclosure with a massive port lol!!! I know your car has a big trunk area but where will your amp(s) and extra batteries go? I say go with a single 15 and keep all the equipment in the trunk! and make it look nice! I think with the 2-15 (8cubic box or so) it will be all crammed in and you will be bagging for space. also 2-15 is a lot of weight! I tried to go with 2-15 back in the day lol now i got two 12's! much better fit!

as promised and I even sanded down the top so it would mount nicely with a belt sander and a LONG level! like a 5ft level lol

i assume you sent a sub to him for a repair and it went bad in 1min?
