Alphasonik MA-2055 amp. ANY info?
CrazyKenKid replied to swagger_wagon468's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
you could try the company and ask them specific question! http://alphasonik.com/a/index.php/en/contact-us/generalinquiries.html but that amp looks like a nice gem! -
so by this friday it will have been 5 weeks and I was wondering if you would extend the pre-order another week once you get T/S specs and the FR graph?
-
very nice start!! Might I suggest putting a radius around the outside of those ports!! just use a router bit, us a 1/2 or 3/4 radius bit and if you don't have one don't worry about it! and i love how you tossed out the back seats! lol yep don't need those I have a stereo system now! lol!

fuseholder to battery for big 3
CrazyKenKid replied to irvin productionz's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
on the positive run no more then 12inch (1foot) on the ground no fuse is required! and if you have two batteries you are hooking up in parallel make sure to have two fuse holders 12inch or 1ft from each battery! -

hatchback I assume? I know when I deadened my car (95 grand AM, ya i know POS but why not) which entitles: 4 doors trunk my overall gain was 0.1db's on a TL Once I deaden my rear deck I gained another .4 db's so in my application the doors weren't any huge gain but I also lost a bunch of the rattling once it was all deadened! plus my truck lid doesn't rattle as much any more! this was all done within a 24hour time frame and amp settings and what not conditions were all the same for all tests. Now i did NOT deaden my roof of my car because my sub is firing directly into the cabin of the car. and I realize what I posted isn't quite what you are looking for but I thought I would share my findings all the same. also something to keep in mind which I found out after I deadened everything is that only about 30% of the exposed steel needs to be deadened for sound deadening to be effective! so in a nut shell I added a lot of deadener and wasted cash in the process when I could have had the same results with less deadener! -

amp in protection mode noting looks blown or melted
CrazyKenKid replied to markak134's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
almost sounds like it got shorted out! maybe the positive in the wrong hole? maybe the positive cable dropped on the amp case? maybe the pre-amp section of the amp is damage who knows. the only real way to figure anything out is to get intouch with db-r or another amp repair shop and send it in for a quote! if you want you could also get intouch with the company and ask them who they recommend you can send it in to. general cost could be 50-200$ including shipping and tax's but generally speaking who knows maybe it isn't worth fixing in the long run! what is the model of the amp and what does it cost BNIB? -

very cool!! I know my dad has a 02 suburban and that is the first thing I though about of where to place amps! is under those seats lol! there is a ton of room there!! the only down side is my dad will not let me touch his suburban so all i can do is watch your build which is very nicely coming along if i may say so myself! keep up the good work you are doing nicely so far! -
