Congrats the sae is a very clean amp and you should be happy with it! first off 4 gauge will be fine to power your amps 4gauge i believe you should be able to support about 1000rms and you want to do like 700-800rms. Anyways the correct way to do it would be to use a 1 run of 0/1 gauge wire to the back (where the amps are) then use a fused distro block to power both your amps. i say use 1 run of 0/1 guage wire rather then 2 runs fo 4gauge b/c a single run would be easier to work with it and i would clean up your install. a distro block that you can use would be one of these http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?Category=Distribution / Fuse Blocks they are pretty cheap and look cool! as for fuse sizes you should be okay with 90-120amp fuses each. wiat you siad the car already has some 4gauge in it then you should be good lol! no need to rewire stuff!!

Need advice for head units/comparison
CrazyKenKid replied to Ballax23's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
i used to have a pioneer premier h/u and it has a shyt load of functionality and plenty of feature to play with the one i had was the 8800phr one with a 30bar EQ and all the bells and whisltes it was awesome till the damn pico fuse blow on me and i kept getting a buzzzing sound in all my speakres! so i switched it with a kenwood ecellon 817dvd 7inch flip out monitor. i didn't notice any difference in SQ but i did lose a lot of cool features. overall i think the kenwood was easier for me to use and the poineer was more techinical, the pioneer also skipped and the kenwood is damn hard to make it skip. (skipping due to my sub pounding to hard) hope that helps Kenneth -
the one i have for sale is a 200 amp relay/ battery isolator! i will sell it for 35$ shipped. but ya post a link to the 2 singer soleniods. also with a BATTERY ISOLATORS you WILL have a voltage drop of 0.5-1.5volts with a soleniod you will NOT have any voltage drop. so becareful and know what you are getting. this is a battery isolator which will give you a voltage drop (i think) http://www.stingerelectronics.com/productDetails.aspx?delineate=40&CategoryID=12&ParentID=1 if you are interested in my soleniod send me an e-mail at [email protected] and i will send you some pics and what not! (how much power will you be running) Kenneth

o wow now i am looking forward to installing my saz2000 on my 15inch night shade! i can't wiat to get metered!!!
-
so any enclosure idea's? also how much can they handle? if 8 of them can handle 2k lol i might want to buy 8 of them depending on the enclosure spec's lol!!! i wonder how 8 of them would sound and what kind of db one would achieve!
-
That is absolutely awesome. How many 3000's are you running to achieve that score? 1 per sub? That is incredible power from an amp that's "rated" for "3000". Holy cow. I am running 1 SAZ-3000D. Yes thats right 1. I am hoping to get a video of it at tonights show. wow ! that gives a new definition (for me) about the importance of the sub numbers comparing to the power that pushes them. Just one amp! wow!! 3krms and geting that nice score is nice man!! those 3000 are sure build solid lol!!!

to get a shipped price quote don't forget to let them know your postal code! for recones around 150-200 i would assume!

SAZ-2000d electrical help?
CrazyKenKid replied to bbalguna's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
i would say a bigger alt to use the full power of a 2000d. maybe around 120-150! but other then that you already have enough battery power! o and don't forget to get a volt meter!! -
Enjoy your vacation!!!

Charging rear batts on charger, still connected
CrazyKenKid replied to shizzzon's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
so you need to charge your batteries? doesn't your alt do that already for you? also if i am understanding this i have 2 batcap 2000s in my trunk and one motor master upfront. to charge my batcaps properly i would have to do a slow charge to them and disconnect it from the front battery? -
it looks like a lot of wasted empty space... in the winter time you might need some weight in there!!

2000rms how many batteries and alt?
CrazyKenKid replied to MIKE W's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
lol you don't need more alts lol! jsut batteries to back up your power you want to supply! if you cna fit it and afford it get a batcap 2000! that way you can supply a 2krms burp!! also if you are going to be mixing and matching batteries you might wnat to look into getting a soleniod setup!! or just stick to the same brand of battery and all will be well!! -
Wiring Icon D2 Sub in Parallel to SAE-1000D? Also, amp settings
CrazyKenKid replied to eman88's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
since you are using a ported box tuned to 32hz your sub sonic filter will also be set to 32hz! Also i recommend setting both your amp and h/u to LPF to 80hz, that way if the deck loses power and you lose your settings and forget to change them back you will be okay b/c the amp is also set!! with the SAZ1000d amp i believe to set the LPF at 80hz jsut turn the dial straight up (half way) i hope that answers your question! -
sexy! make sure to carpet your box!! lol!!
-
now that sounds likea must for anyone running a secondary battery. Where do you pick one of those up at and for how much? so is this like a external regulator then? (like a step up transformer?)
-
nice score! but what did you mean by missing link?
-
wow i have never had to do that but it looks pretty simply! but then agian he has probably done 1000's of those lol!
-
nice job!! lol so jacob how will you revenge your loss? maybe 4 15inch subs lol!!!

ya when you mix and match batteries you need to use a solenoid setup. if you need i have a solenoid for sale and also here is how to wire it up! my buddy was running a wet and dry combo and it completely killed his wet battery which was in the front. See when the car is off the battery which sucks(holds a lower charge) more will continuously draw from the back battery to keep itself full, when the car is on this don't matter but when it is off it does. when the car is on the connection is made when the car is off the connection is broken. the solenoid acts like a circuit breaker i guess. And yes i have also have plenty of friends who don't use a solenoid and so far they are okay so what gives i guess! it is up to you to be safe rather than sorry. also the more runs you have the more solenoids you will need! that is how i understand a wet and dry combo. I hope i am not completely wrong and if i am sorry, there are more experience ppl on here to explain this! agian hope this helps!
-
wow those saz2000 sure are tanks! i can't wiat to go pick mine up and install it!!! lol!! and those damn sae1200's are also awesome!! 147.5% under rated lol! are you going to do the saz4500 also?
-
you are correct just use one set of terminals! i believe the other set is for hooking up 2 speakers simply and fast those outputs labeled A and B are hooked up in parrellel (internally)

Head Unit That Doesnt Skip
CrazyKenKid replied to calvin's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
umm i think all h/u will skip. i know my pioneer premier 880 deck skips and i only have 1 15inch sub. I know my Kenwood flip out single din h/u has a hard time skipping but the only fast remedy for this issue is to use an iPod and normalize all your music then set your gain to the normalized music or even any mp3 player. -
powermaster good choices plus you can get them from SSA also there is another guy selling his batteries for 120 plus shipping check it out! and he is on here!! 9a31 dekas
