why are stetsom amps so pricy???
CrazyKenKid replied to SMpaintball78's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
do you mean why does it cost 560$ in comparison to say a audioAQ or audiopipe or those other cheaper brands? well quality I would say and customer service plus well you get what you pay for and you will see on the long haul which brands will last the longest and will take the most abuse. kind a like amp A can take way more abuse and work in extreme conditions (like 0.5ohm loads) while if you put a half ohm load on amp B it will self destruct! -

multimeter not measuring sax200.4 outputs
CrazyKenKid replied to noidle22's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
umm i have had this type of issue before! to solve this issue i just put the dmm down and tuned it by ear! I would recommend doing it by ear as now a days music is hacked up and loudest being added and such that if you use a tone that is at 0db and then you listen to music which has been ripped to like +3db you could start to clip those speakers! so over the past couple of years i have been turning this gain up and a down a bit to suit my needs with the type of music i am listening to. -

bridged means you are Bridging the two channels to yield one channel! kind a like making the multi channel amp a mono channel amp! this is done to get more power out of an amp at a higher impedance! give this a quick read it was the first thing to come up with i searched bridging an amp. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/what-bridging-amp-2359/ -

I use P3 RCA connectors. I bought about 30 of them over the year. Quality control is great and the connector looks great. I would expect a good product with any P3 connector. Cost wise - midline. surely you aren't talking about these? http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=263-212 -

KNU sells similar ones that I have used in the past! http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=SSRT0 the only down side to them is the hole in the center is about 5/16 (0.31252") and i believe they are about 0.25 thick, so you will need a longer screw! so if you are using one of those big D3100 batteries that have a 3/8 hole you will have to some how drill that bigger! if you are against crimping on terminals then these are the answer! -
