okay lets go one step forward lets say i find my resonant frequency of my car, so once i get that number how does that help to determine my sub's box frequency? i know my car's resonant frequency isn't what i tune my box to so what would i tune my box to say if my resonant frequency in my car was 50hz? also does it matter what sub i use? can i use an 8inch in a sealed box? or does it have to be like a 12?

umm why is your bass boost half way up on your amp? also how do you knwo it is clipping i aassume you can hear it if you have that kind a power but did you put it on an oscope? also what is your rca voltage? are you using any kind of line drivers? also maybe the issue is with the remote? maybe it is a bass boost remote rather then a gain remote? sorry i don't mean to under mind you or anything like that.

question do i have to use a sub? or can I just use a mid bass (6.5inch speaker or a 6x9 in a sealed box) b/c if i play it half volume i shouldn't bottem out my speaker right? as for the sweep i got some tones on my pc i can play. one more question once i get my resonant frequency would i subtract a few hz's from the tuning of my box? like if my resonant freq was 48 i would tune my box to 42? is that what you were getting at MemphisMzd ? and thanks so far for your help you guys have help out so far!! and i will for sure give those spl boards a read once i get out of school! thanks again Kenneth

sure do! which speaker do you plan to power? if using a 15inch go with 10gauge speaker wire if using a 12 go with 12gauge wire! but then again it all depends on the sub and the amount of power you are tossing though those wires! remember each gauge wire can only support a certian amount of current!

i am saying if you buy the high end RCA's they TEND to have some issues with the amp! so do what jacob recommends and just buy the cheap stuff! like what liljestrand recommened!

to answer this question what amp are you planning on using? for example for sundown amps you have to buy cheap rca's or you have issues!

Hey guys i am looking for a tuning frequency for 2-15inch NS to use for SPL. My box will have interchangeable ports one for daily and one for an SPL show. my daily will be 34hz and for spl... i don't know what to use 40? 30? any recommendations on this would be awesome! i am using 2-6inch aero ports btw! in a 6cubic box powered by 2-saz2000 strapped and yes this is my new build starting around April if not much sooner!!!! thanks for your time and recommendations! umm i think i missed something (i have a side mount battery) you have to cut the pos terminal off of your stock battery wtf? why would you need to cut the terminals offf? can someone please tell me what is going on here lol i am so lost. cutting off terminals isn't safe

there are some battteries out there that have both side and top mount but that is just for conviences.

modding is the fun part lol first take some pics and get some measurements and we can go from there!

well even if it is the sellers fault there is no reason to scorn his name. so don't even say it. and just leave it as lesson learned for the seller and also one thing to keep in mind these batteries are HUGE and 100lb at almost any fall will do some damage. but if it turns out he is a scammer then by all means smash his name. like when you got the box was it all destroyed? and what besides what would you put there to protect those terminals from a fall? like a 100lb's i don't know that is heave!
