im building a box for a Pioneer TS-W1207D4: 1.65 cu ft 3"x5.5'' port displacement: 0.076 the box ive built is about 1.9ft^3 without any displacements. i'm assuming the 3"x5.5" is the port area and i just need to calculate the length? if so, how long do i need the port for ~35-38hz?

thanks for the link! when using calculators, do i input my airspace with or without woofer displacements? and do they take into account the volume lost with the port?
-
here the diagram from the12volt... heres what i want to do... will the second one work and put me at 1ohm?
-
because im using 8ga so space is tight. thanks btw!

I have approximately 2.6ft^3 before displacements. This box is for 2 DC Level 3 10s. I'd like for the box to be tuned around 33hz, I planned on using a pvc/abs round port. What diameter should I use and how long should it be?
-
just to clarify, what would be the volume after sub and port displacement? im gonna upfire the subs and have the ports firing the drivers side. the passenger side of the box is pretty close to the rear door...

Make it the same on both sides so the box is symmetrical and divide it. You won't loose much airspace, and the divider will be an awesome brace for the top piece. 3" ports are only 7 inches of port area per port.. I did the numbers.. 1.1 cuft per sub. 2 3" (one on each side) 14 inches long.. but its only like 6.5 sqaure inches of port per cube.. 3 inch aeros will be the way to go unless you can flare the 3" pvc. im not too worried about the divider. seem like aero's are what i need with my strict space requirements. so how much net volume will i have with 2 3" aero ports tunned to 33hz? my box is basically done so im stuck with it. haha...

i dont think you can take a router to pvc/abs pipe =P Throw a divider in the middle in case you ever blow a sub or something. Use 1 4" port per side 26 inches long. This will give you a net vol. of approx. 1.1 cuft per sub tuned a little higher than 33Hz You'll have about 11.4 square inches of port per cube. This is a little on the small side, but not by much. An aero would be great for this. Only thing wrong with this is I forgot about woofer displacement.. OOPS.. how much volume do you subs displace??? Again, I advise adding a divider in the middle. Use 1 4" port per side 30 inches long. This will give you about 0.88 cuft per sub of net vol. Tuned real close to 34 hz. Now you'll have around 14 square inches of port area per cube which is good. Only thing is i don't think you're goin to be able to fit a 30 inch long port. You may be able to put a 90 or two 45s to bend the port inside of the box. cant add a divider, the box is 19" on the drivers side bottom and 20 on the passenger side. can i do two 3" ports?

each sub is .14, so sub displacement is .28

id rather not do an aero port so i dont have to wait on shipping.

any updates on when these are supposed to start shipping? what size box would be best for 2 ran off an saz1500?
-
what are the box specs?

just waiting on a email response from jacob, but i know he's probably busy. 3 D2s it is, i have paypal ready!

im ready to order! 3 D2s or 3 D4s off an 1500D... what to choose
-
how much for 3 sa8s D2 shipped to 94579? how would they be on a 1500d at 1.34 ohms? what size box?
-
how many would you guys use with 2-2.5 cuft and a 1500d?
-
where can i purchase them? heres my zip 94579 how would a pair work in 2-2.5cuft on a sundown 1500d? what frequency would be good? 70% rap 30% everything else.

I've briefly heard a pair of JL 10W6 in a ported enclosure powered by a jl 1000/1, i liked there sound from what i heard, but i would like more output and possibly more low end bass. My budget is ~$500 for sub(s) and box Sub(s) will be going in my ext cab Silverado, under the rear seat lifted 2". I listen to basically everything, from rap to country. About 70% rap/hip-hop and 30% everything else. My goals are to have a nice sounding setup, with a good amount of output. I'm not looking for amazing SQ, but I don't want a one note wonder either. I've been thinking about going with a single 12, maybe a couple of 10s, or even a few 8s. Whatever I choose will be ran off of my Sundown 1500D. Thanks for any help!

is the pre-sale over?

i was leaning towards a single 12" for simplicity and cost most i could do would probably be three 8s.... 8s would surprise people though.

what kind of boxes do these subs like for 1500wrms? air space/tuning?

Have a few questions about my 1200d v2

youre supposed to set the gains with a test tone and a DMM if you dont have an o-scope or can here distortion. i picked up a DMM for under $15 and downloaded the test tone from DIYMA.com - Quality in Sound, Content & Membership - Audio Downloads -
this is why i asked. this is what i know of too.
