Team Fi ftw

My c1100.4 does this too.

It's for daily. He doesnt need to put the extra strain on his equipment for the extra 500 rms that he wont even hear. Keep it at 1 ohm. Oooh. I guess I missed it was for daily. I run my bc3500's & my bc2000 @ .5 daily. Never a problem. Guess that's just me tho. Running 1 ohm would definitely be easier on the electrical & make it not as "hungry."

Box build help. 2 Fi Audio SP4 18's and 8,000 Watts tuned very low
DreDay256 replied to JimBeam45's topic in Fi Products
Did I say dumb? I don't think I did, bc I was sitting there when I typed my post. I pointed out that he'd be losing output by tuning that low. Most people aren't happy w/ an enclosure tuned that low & not much music drops that low. Then their pissed bc they aren't beating the block down. Just making sure he's aware of that before wasting his time. -
Box build help. 2 Fi Audio SP4 18's and 8,000 Watts tuned very low
DreDay256 replied to JimBeam45's topic in Fi Products
Why mid 20's tho? Thats extremely low & most music doesn't drop that low. I believe youll be losing alot of output if your aiming that low. Ijs.. I have the SP4 18's in my Magnum. Their in a 4th & its retarded! I literally shake my neighbors shelves when I ride by. My 4th is tuned to 39Hz. -
Do the bc3500 @ .5 ohm & you'll get 4kw+ on good electrical easy, which is plenty for those subs.

I'm just sayin I've never known Navid or Jon to leave anyone hanging. Navid has hit me back at like 1am lol. Not typical but their good at getting back given everything they have going on.

hahahahaha word. i dont think i saw you ask which would be louder? kinda have the same electrical support question. i have a crescendo 3500 coming also and contemplating running it .5 ohm on a 250a alt and one d3100 in back... You should be fine depending on how much you like to run full tilt, and a given that you've already done big 3, dual runs of 0 gauge & have a decent batt under the hood. I personally would add an xp3000 or another d3100, but I like overkill.

Whats the vehicle ?

It is a bad time of the yr. Holidays, sales out the whaazoo, world ending, etc. Plus Crescendo is a small company, not a car audio giant like Stillwater, RF, etc. Navid is a good dude. Never had any issues with him. I leave msgs & he gets back to me. Sometimes same day, sometimes its a couple days. Whats your question? Maybe one of us can help. Im currently running 4 of the bc3500's in my car myself..

This thread gave me a chuckle.. lol

Looks good!

Fi has a great product but customer service needs an overhaul. Problem is they dont have a fulltime cs person, which helps keep cost down. Everyone there works either building, machining, packing or all the above. Shawn is the closest to a cs person but he runs 3 businesses. So he's not on much unless theres something that someone brings to his attention thats outta hand. In your case, its just being built. No worries.

who is this guy lmao

Sent sub in for repair in Early June 2012...Still have not got it back

Try emailing all their emails, not just the sales@ficaraudio. -
I have a Grand Marquis as well. The best option is the 2 15's bc there's not enough room for the 2 18's. Do the 2 15's & you'll be happy.

Finding subs from 09 in good condition is gonna be hard. Honestly, for cost sake, i'd contact Fi & see if they'll build you some 09 versions or something similar that'll match up. So then your only looking at buying 2 subs. My back-up plan would be to sell those & get 4 new subs.

I got a couple t-shirts a couple wks ago. Shoot Shawn a msg & check for availability at [email protected]

Help w/ AudioControl DQS
DreDay256 replied to DreDay256's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
DQS won't help either of your "things" The hiss you hear is either poor wiring or thermal noise on the amp meaning you are gained beyond where you should be. Adding "boost" to that will really be counterproductive. If there aren't frequency anomalies you are addressing you really don't need an EQ. Out of curiosity what else are you using the DQS for? I use it to seperate what my subs & mids/highs do. It provides a seperate eq for both & allows me to taylor it more than just using head unit controls. -
Help w/ AudioControl DQS
DreDay256 posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Hey Guys, I need help from anyone who has experience or knowledge on the AudioControl DQS Processor. I have the DQS (which is an amazing piece) w/ the DDC. I understand the freq (eq) adjustments just fine. My question is on the octave slopes. This is more in depth than I've ever had to deal with or most anyone I know has to deal with. I just plain dont understand what the 1/3, 1/2, 3/4 & 1 octave width selection adjustment for each freq is for, or the purpose of the boost (level) of whichever octave width you choose. Is there a general rule of thumb or a general selection in these settings? I have a big setup w/ lots of power & I feel like I have this great component I'm not using to its full potential. Any help is appreciated. And please explian as simple as possible lol. Thanks in advance! -
Help w/ AudioControl DQS
DreDay256 replied to DreDay256's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yea, that makes sense. Thank you! So, say we're still using the 500hz as the freq we're working with. If 1 octave will effect 250hz- 1khz, what would say choosing 1/3 octave effect?
